Ellie and Nikita depart the dance floor in Week Seven
Ellie Simmonds and Nikita Kuzmin's time in the competition has come to and end, as they became the sixth couple to leave Strictly 2022.

The pair performed a fabulous Charleston on Saturday night, bagging their highest score yet of 33. However, once the public vote was added to their score, Ellie and Nikita found themselves in the Dance Off for the first time, going up against Molly Rainford and Carlos Gu.
Both couples took the dance floor again and gave their all as they battled for a spot in Week Eight, but ultimately the Judges voted in Molly and Carlos' favour.
When making his decision, Judge Anton Du Beke said: “Well, I think both couples can take credit from dancing an absolutely terrific Dance Off. But, the couple I’d like to save for making the performance even better than on Saturday night are Molly and Carlos.”
All four Judges agreed, resulting in Ellie and Nikita being sent home from the competition.

When asked by Tess about her time on the show, Ellie said: “I’ve literally had the time of my life. It’s been the most incredible experience - life changing really. I want to thank Nikita ever so much. I’m going to miss him – he’s changed my life and confidence. And all of you guys - the Pros. Every single one of you who’ve been part of this Strictly. Behind closed doors, the costume [department], I’ve literally loved waking up every single day and dancing, I’m going to dance forever."
Nikita also had some lovely words for Ellie, saying: “I’m really happy that this journey has been with you [Ellie], because she has taught me so so much, so much empathy, just so much, I’ve learnt so much in these seven weeks."
"I just want to tell you every single person in this room loves you. That is just to say how much of a beautiful human you are and I am so glad I’ve had the chance to dance with you.”
We couldn't agree more! Seeing Ellie come alive on the dance floor has been such a joy, and her partnership with Nikita has been just as magical. Make sure you catch them together for one last time on tomorrow night's It Takes Two at 6.30pm on BBC Two.
