Strictly Christmas line-up announced!

We all love our Christmas traditions. Mince pies; turkey; giving presents; let's be honest, receiving presents; and of course, the Strictly Come Dancing Christmas Special!

This year, we'll have the usual dose of glitter and sequins - with added tinsel, of course - to cap your Christmas Day cheer. But what's Strictly without Celebrities? Coal in the stocking, that's what. Luckily, we've rounded up six beloved faces of Strictly past to take on the Yuletide challenge...

Olympic heptathlete turned TV presenter Denise Lewis was runner up way back in Series Two, taking silver behind Jill Halfpenny. Has her Strictly experience stuck with her?

Chef Ainsley Harriott partnered Natalie Lowe in last year's series, heading home in Week Five. He's back to add a bit of spice to the Christmas Special.

Most family Christmases could probably do with a psychologist - so we've got one! Writer and actress Pamela Stephenson holds the honour of being the show's oldest ever finalist, coming third in 2010.

He's a member of the Strictly family, acting as Zoe's roving reporter on It Takes Two. But Gethin Jones will be back on the dancefloor, where he took third place in 2007, behind Matt Di Angelo and winner Alesha Dixon.

Saturdays singer Frankie Bridge dazzled us in 2014 with some epic dances alongside partner Kevin Clifton, eventually taking the runner-up spot. Can she go one better this time around?

And finally, we only just waved goodbye to him, but you can't have enough Melvin Odoom! He bowed out first in the current series, but the DJ and presenter has plenty more to offer - this time with a Christmassy twist!

All six Celebrities will be dancing to an extra-festive Christmas-themed routine. We'll be revealing who's dancing to what - and crucially, with which Professional partner - in due course. In the meantime, why not get cracking on your Christmas prep nice and early? You've got a very important appointment in front of BBC One on the evening of December 25th...
