Chizzy Akudolu is the first Celebrity to leave Strictly 2017

At Strictly we hate goodbyes, especially when the person you’re saying goodbye to lives and breathes the Strictly spirit. Sadly, that happened tonight as the hilarious Chizzy Akudolu and her partner Pasha Kovalev danced their last dance under the Glitterball.

After the public vote revealed they would face Brian Conley and his partner Amy Dowden in the dreaded dance-off, the reality of losing one of our pairs sunk in around the Ballroom.

Chizzy and Pasha had scored 16 points with their fierce feminine Foxtrot whilst Brian and Amy Cha Cha’d onto the leaderboard with 19 points. When it came to saving one of the couples Craig said, “the person who I love watching more on the dancefloor is Chizzy and Pasha.”

Darcey and Shirley both believed Brian and Amy’s performance had more of dance content and Bruno cited one of the dances had better timing and delivery as the reason for his vote. In the end the judges decision was 3-1 in favour of Brian and Amy.

When asked by Tess if she had enjoyed her time on the show, Chizzy said, “Thank you to everyone who has supported.” And when it came to their partnership Chizzy had a very clear message she wanted to get across, “This dude, I have loved every minute dancing with him and it will continue because I will just be going round his house to dance now. But I don’t have his address so if anyone could email me I would appreciate it!”

What did Pasha have to say to that? “I absolutely enjoyed every single second of it and fine, come over to my house!”

Emotions were high as our couple had their last dance but one thing is certain, we will always remember Strictly 2017 as the year Chizzy Akudolu brought the sass to the Ballroom. W. O. M. A. N.
