The Strictly couples say farewell to the lovely Alison Hammond.

On Saturday night’s show Alison and her pro-dance partner Aljaz Skorjanec received mostly positive comments for their Charleston to ‘Friend Like Me’. Judge Craig Revel Horwood said that they had a friend in him, and that their performance was very “stylish and chic”. However, they found themselves joint second last on the leaderboard with EastEnders actor Jake Wood, with a modest score of 27.

On Sunday’s show, for a second week running Alison found herself in the Dance Off with TV presenter Caroline Flack. After both couples danced again, the judges chose to save Caroline. Craig said: “One is a fun dance, one is a very serious dance but I have to go for the best dance and that is Caroline and Pasha.” The other Judges agreed unanimously, so came an end to Alison's Strictly journey.

Reflecting warmly on her time in the compeitition Alison said: “I’ve had the best time, thank you Judges for all your comments, I’ve had an absolute ball. I’d say to anyone who is thinking about doing this show to just go for it and do it, I don’t care what colour you are or what size you are, I’ve loved it.”

Although Alison just missed out on competing at the Blackpool Tower next week she added, “I am still going to Blackpool and I don’t care what anyone says!”
