I liked the male pros dance but I absolutely enjoyed the girl's fabulous routine so the girls rule for me.

I really liked the girls' dance, but I absolutely *loved* the boys'!

I thought the assistant choreographer (was it Matt Flint?) did a superb job. I couldn't take my eyes off him all the way through. Any chance of a bit more of him? (I do hope Artem recovers very soon.)



I'm getting a bit fed up with the semi-pornographic twaddle that the women are expected to produce. Why do the women have to writhe, while the men get to do proper dance steps? I'd like a bit less pouting & aren't I sexy wriggling and a bit more proper dancing for the female pros please.

Loved both dances. QUESTION- I read on the website that the strictly FINAL will be on Saturday 17th december, but it also mentions a results show. Will that be on the same day for the final, or will the final results show be on sunday 18th? Need to know for my work shifts. Hopefully someone who knows can post a reply asap. :-)

I love the program, I also wanted to say i notice something that was so uncanny.. Craig Revel horwood & Tin Tin the old cartoon carictor,, are uncanny that they look like each other... Good luck to all thye Dancers .. well done Russel i envey u as i have a bone condition and cant dance anymore.. when i was a youngster i loved to dance i also have lost my hearing but i do so much enjoy watching you all progress each week.. well done to you all.. love from Suzi Tuscadero

The boys dance was very good. Shame Artem missed out tho & hope he recovers in time for next week. The guy who stood in for him did very well. But for me the girls take the crown for the best pro dance. They were fab-u-lous!!

Both were brilliant, but the Ladies were just a tad ahead of the Gents for me; so to answer your question, Ladies' version! :)

I liked both dances, but for me the men were best especially as they had to have a temporary new member due to injury, hopefully Artem will be fully recovered for next week, the guy who stood in for him is a brilliant dancer though, hope to see more of him. My favorite is Pasha and Chelsee this year shame about last week, but this week like two weeks ago a well deserved top spot, I also liked the way how confident Pasha sounded when he was asked by Tess if he thought Chelsee was a contender it was nice of him to be so positive and to believe in her so much, keep up the good work Chelsee, brilliant so far.

The boys were best by far. Matt Flint is Fab, voted for him all the way through "So you think you can dance" and so glad he is working in his chosen field. Go Happy Feet!! Can we see more of him PLEASE SCD!! :-)

For me it was the boys, they came out and never before have I had a hot flush in front to the television! I hope that Artem gets a quick recovery from his injury, and not for him to push himself too much, it would be a shame for him not to be dancing.

The girls, it was nice and all but I felt there was something missing, I'm not sure what, I think it was the silhouette that I wasn't keen on.

Why can't we see the real singers from the band have the spotlight ?

It would add class and a new dimension to the show and also save you're

I loved them both but was swayed by the appearance of Matt Flint. I think he is a fantastic dancer and would love to see more of him, especially tap dancing! Would like to know what he has been up to inbetween winning SYTUCD and Strictly.

I agree with those people who asked if Matt Flint could be on the show more. He is a fantastic dancer - and a great choreographer.

Poppyflax @14. Absolutely agree. Too often the women look as if they are dressed for a strip club and perform like that too.

For me the girls looked too much like pole dancers, I love the girls and I want to see them dance not writhe around, boys were wonderful, Matt did a great job, but I do hope Artem is OK. So, Boys win it for me this week. To be honest I prefer it when they're not in competition but dancing together!

Defo gotta be the boys, sorry girls, more like disco than dace and not as entertaining.

Group dancing girls always win for me. I do chuckle at all men group dancing because it reminds of the Full Monty. Woman also have a greater choice of wardrobe, in my view & therefore more stunning.

The girls were good as always but the swivelling hip action of the boys made it better. The boys for me.

Surprised to see Lulu go because she has improved so much, but then so have all the remaing celebs, and I like them all, so don't really want anyone to leave and couldn't choose. Hope Artem's knee improves as Holly's dancing is stunning. Love Russel - he makes us all smile and that's before he's even danced!

Loved the boys routine and agree with previous posts asking for Matt. Please don't wait for an injury to include him in another routine.

Whew! who need central heating, loved the boys dance. Actually if both the men and women made a short DVD of their dances and sold them in aid of Comic Relief, I would definately buy them as christmas extras. Come on BBC get these out there for Comic Relief....please!

Sorry to be a dissenting contributor, but whilst I enjoy attractive women gyrating sexily I regret the fact that ballroom and latin partner dancing have been put on the back-burner in favour of burlesque and stage dance. The professional dancers on this show are champions in the former; let's see more of what they are best at. Bumpers and grinders are ten-a-penny.

Girls win for me. In this I thought Aliona stood out as a much weaker dancer than the others.

The boys win for me - the steps brought the music to life and vice versa. And each of them had a moment to shine during a fantastic group effort.

Yes boys win hands down - do we know who did the choreography - thought the dance was great especially the bit with the hats. Good to see the new boy taking part and he seems to have fitted in very quickly - hopefully it won't be the last we see of him once Artem returns (soon I hope) from his sick bed. I remember Matt winning SYTYCD what a fantastic tap dancer he is - it would be great seeing him doing a solo tap dance on one of the Strictly shows!

No doubt for me the boys have it....Whatt originality who did the choreography??? And oh! James U R so hot

hey guys i would probably say Matt choreographed the boys routine, thus why he was called on to stand in for Artem instead of one of the other ballroom/latin guys! would be fantastic for him to showcase some of his other styles particularly tap on SCD i know it is about ballroom/latin but we all like a bit of diversity right xx

The boys one, proving that in terms of costume (or lack of it in the case of the girls) LESS is not always MORE.

Totally agree that the girls just had too much writhing around and looking like pole dancers. The boys was a much better routine. Matt Flint fantastic but missed Artem.

Re post 15 by Katie. The final results have always been on the same night as the show so the 17th will also have the results unless they have changed it this year.

The girls definitely, there are all amazing though, and the costume have been outstanding this year.

Fantastic costumes I agree, but what about Tess's dresses? She's beautiful with a fantastic figure so why can't they dress her better and Claudia's outfits, well what can I say?

Absolutley. I'd love to see some wonderful, professional ballroom and latin dancing.

What a joy to see Matt, the winner from So you think you can dance, dance with the male celebs. He was excellent and to see him dance in that routine made my night. I had no idea he was an assistant choreographer on the show and it would be great to see him take part in SCD next year as a pro dancer.

Totally agree with what a few have already said. found the girls routine this week a bit tasteless and not as impressive as I usually do. Looked like a lot of the moves you tend to see with the X factor backing dancers. These girls are the best of the best and need to be different from them. Some people might call it a modern take on the traditional styles but I just think that's a weak argument for not challenging your self to be different.



On the other hand the boys were really good. Had a lot more technique in there and less saturday night club grinding! Good Job!

The boys were great- who took Artem's place? We need to see more of him!

Loved the Boys routine - Matt Flint is so watchable - we want more!!! Supported him right through SYTYCD. Missed Artem though as well - he's the most stylishly exacting and precise dancer.

The men for me. I also felt the women's routine lacked something, but can't say what.

For me has to be the girl pros routine, the boys were good but were outclassed by their female counterparts.

Yes what a great dance the boys put on - interested to know more about Matt Flint what does it mean when he is described as an assistant choreographer? Is it someone who helps out when the professionals cannot for whatever reason do the choreography on their dance?

Can I be slightly old-fashioned in terms of SCD as a whole...Can we go back to everyone doing either a latin or a ballroom and then everyone alternating week L or Week B and each doing the same dance e.g. Tango and Waltz.

I reserve judgement on the taste issues but I'm nervous that there are more and more props that aren't natural - contrived maybe?

Considering the uproar at the sexy dance routines in X factor etc I am surprised at the pro dance routines this series which include a lot of suggestive moves. Personally I prefered it when the routines were recogniseably dance styles rather than show dances

The boys won for me and the lad that stepped in for Artem was wonderfull. Get well soon Artem your wonderful dancer and a real professional to get through the duet. The girls were ok and i would kill to just have legs like anyone of them.

The boys for sure but, not seeing Artem there in that regular fivesome gave me a little sadface. But, yeah the boys rocked it.

Girls rule for me... but only because their dance was slicker and in time.

Actually thought the girls' routine was a bit too racey... and couple of the pros didnt look too comfortable with the girating and rolling around on the floor.

Both routines were great, however the boys were much better. I didn't realise who the assistant choreographer was (until I read these blogs) and thought he was great. Oh how I was younger and thinner!

I love Strictly but would love to see different presenters next year.

i liked the lads dance but i think the girls just got the upper edge x..good dancing though from both sexes... wish i could dance like them (the girls that is !!)

I agree with all the positive comments about Matt Flint. It was good to see that he is making progress in the choreography world with such a prestigious and high profile BBC show. My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed watching his improvement over the weeks in So You Think You Can Dance. I hope he will have more opportunities to appear on Strictly. I am sorry that Artem has such a nasty injury and hope he will soon be back on our screens delighting us with his choreography, he is one of the most talented professionals on the show. I thought the boys dance was far better than the gilrls. I also agree with some of the comments that there is a marked increase in the raunchiness of the movements and costumes this year.

Both routines excellent but I think the boys had the edge! Sorry Artem wasn't in it. I think he's a brilliant dancer but Matt was amazing. Why can't we see more of him? I'd love to see him in the show on a regular basis!!!!!!!
