Week 4 - Pre-show Reactions

Jason should be fine with with the paso - it's a dance of story telling which should be right up his street - with Kristina's wonderful choreography they shouldn't have any problems but may not stay on the top slot this week. Robbie always seems to be nervous but with the good comments he received last week I'm sure he will be fine. Palsha looked confident and happy about their quickstiep and Chelsee is impressing everyone and becoming more confident each week.

Flatfeet. I agree I don't think Jason will be top this week. I reckon Harry or Holly will topple him. Pasha's lovely... Chelsee's a lucky girl!

Just watched ITT - LOVE RUSSELL - it is a joy to see someone who is absolutely enjoying every single moment from Monday to Sunday. I follow him on FB and he posts a couple of times a day. He even takes the time to respond to his supporters - AND I WAS ONE OF THEM!!! Thanks Russell!!



Got a couple of the tunes stuck in my head already - Ottis Reddings Love Man who Robbie and Ola are dancing to. It could be a good Jive!! And I think The Eurythmics Sweet Dreams are Made of This is going to be fantastic as a tango for my Russell and Flavia.

I would like to say a change in fortunes this week on the leaderboard and I would like to see some couples who have blended into the background over the last 2 shows really shine this week as well as the regular top 3 as well and they are.

I would defnitley like to see these 5 shine they have blended into the background while the top 3 seem to be getting all the glory but I reckon it's time for them to show what thay have got on the dancefloor and really shine a change in fortunes on the leaderboard is what I want this week.

My top 5 picks thereasons I picked them are as follows.



Anita and Robin: This couple have spent the past two shows in fancy dress welll Anita has for her two shows first week she was dressed up as Bonnie Langford when she was Mel in Doctor Who back in the 80's the outfit just reminded me of that and second week she was dressed as Barbie and Robin was dressed as a rugged version of Ken this week we should hopefully see glitz and glamour from these two and also they have an excellent Sinatra classic to dance to and I think the American Smooth will suit Anita.



Chelsee and Pasha: They nearly ended up in the bottom two last week due to the viewer vote but this week I am expecting big things a classy quickstep a classy jazz soundtrack and it should be very fastpaced and full of panache and I have a feeling these two will carry it off to perfection these are one of the couples I would suspect have blended into the background but will expect to shine through.



Rory and Erin after his quickstep last week can Rory make an impression on a Cha Cha well he is renowned for comedy and he did a pretty food attempt at his 1st Latin so I don't think there should be a problem. Russell and Flavia I am so looking forward to this Tango after what I have been reading about on the message boards and I believe he will give a whole new meaning to the words leading man.



Lulu and Brendan now they are good and Brendan is pretty good at the Paso dominance supreme but can Lulu live up to this she will have really step up to the mark and I have a feeling with this dance we should really see the pure fire in Lulu.

Any reason for missing off Alex and James - the Rumba. If she can hold off nerves I think it may be a rather good dance.



And sorry but I was under the impression Lu and Bren were doing a Saaaarmba as Craig would pronounce it!!!! But I could be wrong!!!

Hi Fergal. I agree Anita and Robin will do a great smooth with fabulous lifts. Chelsee and Pasha will be good and even better if they had adequate time to train. As for Rory... not so sure he'll pull it off but hope he proves me wrong.

Now for the top 3 on the leaderboard and Team Nanton.



Jason and Kristina: A Paso maybe full of storytelling but it also requires the man to be the dominant force in the partnership I refer to Jason Donovan's TV experience for this one in the past he has played a good looking boy next door on Neighbours and a Paso is going to call for more than just cheesy grins and soppy expressions Jason will have to turn on the power and the passion jury is still out on this one.



Holly and Artem: They have a fantastic Vienesse Waltz this week which should cement them into favour this week after the lukewarm response they have recieved and also the negative press coverage this week hasn't helped things though the papers are never happy unless they are writing negative news stories to sell papers but I reckon they should carry it off no problem should get them back in the top 3 for sure.



Harry and Aliona: Now these two after last week and after the lukewarm reception their jive got have a ballroom this week and frankly they will do okay provided Aliona does not go overboard with the chereography and does not make it all about her.



My danger list this week is two couples not surprisingly Anton and Nancy and Audley and Natalie and this might surprise some of you by what I'm going to say but I have a feeling Team Nanton might just survive a second week in the bottom two because I have put Audley and Natalie in my danger list this week simply because the top half of him is great but the bottom half not so good and it is a Foxtrot and I have this feeling that his footwork is going to let him down and might just send him home this week. Not that I'm saying I do not want Team Nanton to go this week because I do because if the highlight of this routine will be Nancy grabbing Anton's bum for comic effect it will be the most horrifc and awful routine to have hit national TV screens since Angela Rippon tried to shake it all about in a tight fitting outfit failing misreably as a Lady Of The Night dancing to Hey Big Spender on Let's Dance For Comic Relief and yes I'm still having therapy for that.

Hey Ojtocs. Agree regarding Rory. Saw him on ITT and have to be honest, it looked like he could do with more training. But who knows - maybe he will sparkle tomorrow night!



Also anyone else want to know what all the screaming was about during the interview with Team ROBO!!!!

I missed Alex and James I have to use a second screen to go back to a previous blog to check what who's dancing what because if I click out I loose what I've typed and I have to type the comment again.



Alex and James and they have the dance of love this week and yes James has proven with past partners he can be an exceptional lover on the dancefloor sensual and romantic and I reckon him and Alex have just the right spark to carry it off.



Robbie and Ola on the other hand have a jive and yes Robbie has got exactly the temprement for a jive he's full of fun and I have a feeling he will love this dance and he's dancing with Ola Jordan queen of the sexy short outfits need I say more.



And ojtocs I have to agree with you here I just looked at the music choice for Rory and Erin's Cha Cha and it's a disco number I'm starting to get a mental picture of tight sequins and rather OTT moves on tha dancefloor by Rory I have a feeling he is going to be third on my danger list.

And yes my danger list has changed now and my danger list is as follows.

Oh and I forgot to say after Nancy and Anton's last hideos routine it's not me who's having therapy it's our dog Lucy the poor love she was sitting with me one night watching Team Nanton on Strictly in their latest hideous routine the next she got down of the chair and downed an entire bowl of water in one go and then sat back on the chair depressed after witnessing it so I say for the good of Lucy and so we don't have to fork out for more therapy vote Team Nanton off this week.

And my dog Lucy is a pretty intelligent dog and even she could see they were total rubbish.



Thank god she didn't see Angela Rippon in a tight skirt on Let's Dance For Comic Relief shaking it all about to Big Spender our bills for her therapy would be through the roof.

Fergal - I am a total animal lover (except anything with 8 legs or more....) I wont vote for Nanton but then I cant vote for anyone... except telepathically. Headache every time. Havent got it sorted out yet.

mother let me know there was an article in the last couple of days in one of the Broadsheets regarding Nancy. And TBH it wasnt complimentary. My dad who is so not a fan of Sven actually had some sympathy for him after the article!!! Sorry Nancy but there is always a pantomime villain!!

I cannot believe that Friday's It Takes Two isn't available on Watch Again! When I got home this evening I sat down after my tea with a lovely cup of coffee and prepared to watch Zoe's programme - but I could only get Wednesday's! Not fair.

Thought Erin was distinctly unenthusiastic about Rory's abilities on TT! Suppose he might be in danger, also Audley. Would like someone other than Donovan at the top. Step forward Harry/Anita/Robbie/Russell/Alex

How I wish they'd go back to having 2 dances per week and save American Smooth, Paso etc for later in the series when celebs have actually learnt to dance.

Would like Len to leave this week too, can't stand his favouritism and his adolescent, coarse comments, so unsuitable for a so called "family" show.

Of course the last thing the BBC listens to is its license payers...

I agree with most of your predictions ojtocs but think Alex and Russell are also safe. Hope Robbie is too as he has improved so much. Not really getting Anita even though when she was on Eastenders all my friends said I looked like her!

I can't find out team names. Can anyone tell me if there are any official ones. What a shame we can't support our favourites this year - well so far anyway. Not as good as previous years on here.

There are support groups on digitalspyforums but it just isn't the same and totally agree, not nearly so good as last year :(

I can't even find a way of contacting the contributors to ask why things are different this year. We had such a feeling of camaraderie last year. I really loved chatting with people supporting the same team. We had our own page on facebook after SCD finished. Thanks for the tip about digitalspyforums though mattzings. I will check it out.

Fergal in your comments about Chelsee and Pasha you mentioned they both nearly ended up in the bottom two last week - is this correct? I know their names were called out last of those couples going through to following week but doesn't Tess always say before starting reading out results 'the results are in no particular order'? Audley and Natalie's name was called out first but I'm sure they didn't receive the majarity of the votes.

Mattzings @25 I agree. Digispy isn't the same at all. I like Harry and Holly. Harry's AT is fine but Holly's is quite negative. I'm a bit fed up with it all. Please BBC. Open the fan blogs.

DDD @26 I rang the BBC and asked about the team blogs. They said they'd let me know in due course. No answer yet. Watch out on Digispy. People can be quite rude even on the AT's.

Yes Doctordancingdiva things are definitely quieter this year on the BBC blogs - perhaps thats what they want, things definitely got heated on occasions last series, but as long as people don't become rude or personal there's nothing wrong with that it's called 'enthusiasm' which is a good thing isn't it? I see that Erin and Rory even had their team name printed on their teeshirts yesterday on ITT so they are up for it and Lulu was shouting out their team name as well. I think most people have now chosen thier favourite couple so it's a shame we are not able to join in the fun and support our favourites by using their team name.

I have also been over to the digital spy forums and found a lot of the comments quite negative and rude, particularly about Holly and Jason. It always seems so unnecessary to me. It's an entertainment programme and everyone is entitled to their own favourites without so much negativity. The group blogs on here were much more fun to read and join in. Personally, I think Jason is lovely. Happy viewing everyone. x

MrsArchanum No 33 - We haven't got started yet. I really don't think it will be a one horse race. Harry is great, Chelsey needs a bit of polish, Alex has shown a great improvement and Holly is a natural. I can't make my mind up for sure who to back this year but I can't back Holly and Artem because I so fell for him and Kara last year it would be like being unfaithful but not as much fun!

I think there will be a lot of twists and turns throughout the series and I can't wait. Good Luck to them all, they seem a nice bunch. Can't help backing Jason at the minute though, I just love his performances. Enjoying Chelsee and Alex very much as well though. x

Agree that Jason and Kristina seem to be pulling away from the field - but could change this week - I hope so or it's all going to become rather predictable, hoping that others will up their game this week.



This will be the first week we see Holly in complete hold for their Viennese Waltz and Artem was pleased he said and looking at rehearsal tapes she's looking comfortable, so expecting good marks from judges. Others who I expect to up their game are Alex, (she's wearing a very sexy cat suit for the dance), Chelsee, (Pasha is really pushing her now) Robbie, (think jive will suit him) Lulu, (she apparently loves dancing the samba) Anita, Russell is again playing it for laughs appearing in sparkly baby grow at beginning of his and Flavia's tango - the mind boggles!



Latin just isn't Rory's thing and thought Erin was beginning to look a tad frustrated with him on yesterday's ITT - although it's not from a want of trying he obviously works very hard at it, so afraid he's in my bottom three.

Yes flatfeet I know that Chelsee and Pasha were called last but also I do remember what Tess said to Chelsee and Pasha and Nancy and Anton "One of you is in the bootom two and the other is safe" so frankly even if it is in no particular order it still works out the same out of the two remaining couples whoever is named one is safe and one is in the bottom two and it could work either way.



With that cleared up my final views I will be watching out for Chelsee and Pasha and Anita and Robin they have two classy dances the quuckstep and American Smooth and to jazz music tracks to dance to them with so I'm expecting positive feedback from the judges and also positive scores as well.



Flatfeet we obviously think the same your danger list is spot on as well as mine great minds think alike as they say but my view is that Audley and Natalie will go home as I believe is footwork will severley hamper him as Len said the top half of him is good bottom half not so good.

I REALLY hope that Anton does a proper dance with Nancy tonight and allows her to dance = no mucking about, no props, no belittling her, just a proper dance. Harry & Aliona my favourite - but I'm not sure the judges are very keen on her, so I'm worried they will be under marked. Love Chelsee too!

How to choose between Chelsey and Harry!!

well what a night on strictly come dancing last night, what was up with Len? shouting, I didnt like hes remark to James when he said all you have to do is turn up, shut up and get on with it, rather rude I thought, and whats wrong with Graig only giving Alex and James a 5, what a night it was! I loved Chelsee, she was realy great this week, poor Nancy and Anton bottom of the leadere board this week again, think they will be in the bottom 2 tonight, Harry and Alliona scored their first 10 from Aleisha this week, congratulations to you both, I thought they were great this week, didnt think Holly and Artem were that good this week, but hey depends on what the public think at the end of the day, Jason and Kristina lost their top spot on the leader board, but I guess they had to loose their top spot on the leadere board at sometime, it was just not Jasons dance this week, but he will be kept in for sure, hope he does a realy good dance next week, hard to say who will go this week, perhaps Nancy and Anton or Audley and Natalie, anyway looking farward to the results show tonight, will mail here again tomorrow
