Just like to say I enjoyed your cha cha in particular but all your dances have been fun. Will you be reducing the amount of camp in your dances? I only ask because I think Russell can dance a bit and it would be interesting to see him attempt a "serious" dance.

I've just been reading about poor Russell's knee - torn ligament isn't it? It must be such upsetting news for you as looks as if you are having such a wonderful time - I do hope something can be done short term to enable you to carry on in show for as long as you can.

The judges should give more credit to Russell's dancing. He has confidence as he moves around the floor, and he does all the steps and remembers the routine. He and Flavia are a great combination.

For me, there's a massive difference between Russell Grant and Widdecombe from last year, that is, he's really having a go, loving every minute of it and can actually move!



That said, there's only so much flouncing about and camping it up a person can watch before beginning to think that most of the routines are beginning to look very "samey?"

I wish the judges would comment more on your real ability to dance, because you CAN dance. You have musicality and rhythm, so I wish they would bring that to the attention of the viewers a little more. Yes, you may be camp, but there is lots of ability also. unfortunately, your shape does not help you but you do the steps properly when you are able to, which is more than can be said for any of the previous 'comedy' contestants.

I am loving russel's performance each week. His passion and enthusiasm and genuine love for what he and Flavia are doing makes me squeak with delight. I only hope that we get to see them both perform the samba again, I loved it on Saturday, but it went wrong a few times and it would be good to see it danced perfectly. It would be awesome!!!

Absolutely excellent. When you were on the bucking bronco you looked just like Peter Glaze.

Their partnership is THE BEST! All the remaining celebs, even the dour Robbie, were smiling at his enthusiastic response to staying in...and so was I!

Wish he'd do something a bit more dignified next week, a waltz? I think he'd be fine and no need for comedy.

Yes Russell may not be the best dancer, but he puts his heart and soul into his training and performance and he makes the show so entertaining. He doesn't answer back to the judges either.



We've got Russell to Wembley and whatever happens he will go to Blackpool as it is the final of the series and ALL the couples will get to dance again.

Why was Flavia not penalized for all that time out when Russel was changing behind the screen? It seems that the judges are being a little inconsistent this series. I know Russell is entertaining and thats what the show is about, but there was hardly any dancing on Saturday night. Sorry, don't want to be mean but I was disappointed. There was a lot more actual dance in the first few weeks. What do others think?

I think Russell is a much better dancer than the routines are allowing for but seeing the rehearsals it seems to me he likes to do his own thing! Also he's firmly fixed in the judges' minds as the "comedy act" and that'll be difficult to change now.

However, I reckon he'll outlast Anita, Robbie and Alex to the horrified shtreks of the "but this is a dance competition" brigade.

Oh enough already! Russell is simply unable to characterise any dance style with anything other than his own ego...so a paso, a waltz, a samba all merge into one hideous campfest. That opening shot of him dressed as a myopic Captain Pugwash riding a bull will haunt my dreams forever. And as for all that leaping about on Saturday...ye Gods!

I do think Russel can dance, his timing and musicality are good but i am getting bored with the prancing. When he got off the bull he did some very good Paso moves.

Flavia is struggling to reign him in and i was disappointed with the American Smooth. I thought he would excel at the razzmatazz it allows and instead we got a not so quick change routine.



The British love an underdog but tire quickly of an egotist. So please Russell, listen to Flavia, knuckle down and dance and you may get Blackpool on your own merit.

I think Russell is funny but it is now too far into the competition, he needs to start doing a proper dance! It is so frustrating when you can see he can dance and just isn't given it. I have stopped voting for him because I can see he is being turned into the John Sargent of the competition... Still love Russell but I just hope that he starts to dance more and joke around a bit less, would love to see him do one proper ballroom dance!
