So, after all the trials and tribulations (and Ann) ... we come down to the three finalists. I think that the right three have ended up in the final ..... with and without the help of the judges.

Good result - Matt to win - fed up with Pam's granny act and cannot stand thought of Billy C being in it next year if she wins - he was funny 30 years ago - but not any more. Vote Matt!

Congrats to everyone who made it this far, what an achievement! Great semis and it's a fab line up for the finals, they should all put on a fantastic show for us!

The only result really, but feel sorry for Scott. Some of his dances were the best of the series IMO.Still a Matt fan though, although Kara's probably the best dancer.So after suffering Aw for weeks on end at least the right ones are in the final. Good Oh!!

I think it's a shame that all three finalists are people with previous dance and entertainment experience. All three were good right from the start.

Strictly has now turned into such a con which is sooo upsetting! I have been to see Strictly live on tour and watched the serious for years and this year it has been made obvious that the Results show is recorded on a Saturday night!

Ann revealed it by accident, then this week there has been a leak online that Gavin and Scott were booted!!!!!!

Also how have Take That performed on the show and then 20 mins later are on the X-factor!!!!! VERY DISAPOINTING!!!!! IT appears that this has not been orgainsed very well and no one has thought of Take That being able to be in two place at once!

A VERY POOR slip up to make on the shows part!



I voted everyweek this serious for Gavin Henson and last year always voted for Ola Jordan and Chris Hollins and now whats the point when simple things can not even be thought of!



On another note, thank god Scott is out, he slipped up worse than Gavin a couple of weeks ago and still got higher scores!!!!! FIXED FIXED FIXED!!!!!

Sorry but have to be really boring and say that the right 3 got through to the final, think we might have to up with Billy next year, as think its a cert pamela will win, regardless of performance.

Best three through to the final. My heart wants Matt to win, but I do think Kara is the best overall dancer. Let's hope Mattiona produuce the best show dance as that's what usually determines the winner. Mind you we have to get past Pamela who's 61 AND married to Billy Connelly to dothe show dance. But Bakerites we can do it.

Congratulations to the finalists - they are the only consistently formidable contestants throughout the competition. Gavin was never good while Scott wasn't as good as the judges perceived him to be. His only competent routine was the Viennese Waltz.



Does anyone know if, along with their showdance, they'll be doing the two dances they haven't done throughout the competition as yet another twist to the show format, or they'll do an afore-performed Latin and Ballroom?

Good result - but tough on Scott, who was by no means a no-hoper.

Soooo hard now to decide between fab and excellent Kara (that rhumba was magnifique! - her dress, her moves, the music - very emotional!)and the stupendous Matt who has been sorely under-scored on several occasions. No more kicked puppy face please!! Pamela is great - but not in the same league, imo.



Still: should be fun, fun, fun!! :)



Oooh oooh! an idea beeb: instead of allowing lots of repeat voting which skews the results, why not have a number recognition so that you can accept a vote for a particular couple only oncem from any one number? That way, different people on the same phone number can have their own say, but individuals can vote only once (or twice if they're sneaky and use their mobile as well). That would save callers money (lol) and be fairer to contestants. Whaddya think?

Glad to see the back of the Ompah Lompha that was Gavin, sorry to see Scott go though, but the result is correct. Kara to win.

Justice is done; well done viewers for putting Matt through! It will be a brilliant final and the saving grace is that the winner will be decided by the PUBLIC VOTE alone! This series of Strictly has produced an inordinate amount of adverse comment - I would suggest that the format definitely needs to be revised?

I think Flea may be missing the point slightly. It would be a shame if three dancers who had been good from the start WEREN'T in the final. Not that I'm denigrating the efforts of all the dancers who worked so hard to improve themselves throughout the show, but I'd far rather a good dancer won a dance competition than a rank outsider like Ann Widdecombe who might have done well because she's talentless but entertaining (to some). Or Gavin, bless him, who tried hard but only got so far on the strength of a decent six-pack and the entire Welsh vote!



Good result I reckon. Still wish Jimi Mistri hadn't gone out so early!

10. tippytappy. Kara's certainly a good dancer, but a bit one dimensional, ie balletic. She's at her best in ballroom. Just my opinion.

Can we all acknowledge, once and for all, that we all KNOW the results show is recorded on Saturday? We know, we know we know, the BBC knows we know, so why does everyone keep 'revealing' that they have proof! The only puzzle is why it's necessary - easier all round if we had two shows on a Saturday.

Well done to all three couples. It was the right result - Gavin improved a lot through the series, but simply isn't in the same league and it was his time to go.

Scott peaked several weeks ago and has been struggling to keep up since, (even though the judges didn't always seem to think the same!)

Of the three in the final, PamJam always dance very smoothly and carefully, but I don't see any real fire or show razzamatazz.

Kara is beautiful and dances with great precision, but somehow doesn't project any great personality (imho)

Matt has proved his worth in both Latin and Ballroom and has been consistently undermarked (again, imho); he lights up the dancefloor.



Therefore: Mattiona for the Glitterball

Poor Scott - my daughter, age 6 sobbed for half an hour that he has gone.

Well done Scott for lighting up our Saturday nights!!

With regards to flea - think you'll find that Scott won trophies for dancing when he was a youngster and he's in the "entertainment" business, and it didn't work in his favour.I think, apart from Ann and Peter, everyone else was in "entertainment".

YABADABADOO!!! The best 3 are through!!! My poor husband thought I'd gone completely mad when I started whooping round the living room, when they announced it was Scott that was gone and not the wonderful MATT !! And the Producers STILL made him wait until after the girls had been told they were in the final!! I'm dreading our phone bill, but don't care because he's through and deservedly so. What an amazing final night it should be - I can see the tricks, lifts, acrobatic moves already - even if Matt doesn't win, I bet he'll give us an amazing showdance to remember. When they showed him on the VT tonight, in floods of tears last night after their beautiful Tango was finished, I cried with him. The judges should be ashamed of themselves. It's bitter-sweet seeing Scott go, but at least the judges' favourite hasn't won through. You can get back to Eastenders now Scott and try and get your lines right!! Bless.



We changed our Christmas flights to Spain for this final (at quite a cost - I refused to leave the Country on saturday, having forgotten about the final when we booked them!!) and I feel sure now that it's totally justified.

Well despite earlier voters' hiccups they seem to have got it right at last. The top three celebrity dancers have ended up in the final. Let's just hope that the voting audience choose the best dancer, although I still think that the judges should have the last word - after all they are the experts.

I absolutely love Kara; she and Artem are amazing!! And I have to say that up until the last few weeks she has been undermarked and Pamela over marked. Go Kara!

I'm sad that Scott & Natalie missed out on a place in the final. They make a terrific team and have treated us to some memorable dances that I will continue to watch over and over again.

Go Matt, I've liked him from the first dance, he has been undermarked. It looks to me like the judges know who they want to win, and try to sway the viewing public. I'm sure the fact Scott stayed to this week has done the ratings for the Eastenders Christmas eposodes no harm!!! Why can't they tell us the number of votes for each couple, and why did they have the'bottom two' fiasco this year? There was no dance off, just a simple in or out, so why prolong the agony?!!! I do hope they look at the format for the next series. Also please don't include the joker next year. It was so cruel to see people who could dance have to go home before the woman who admitted herself she couldn't dance saty in!!

Diaphony - Don't you mean "Your eyes was wicked"?! Seriously though, I totally agree with you. I have nothing against Alesha personally but she knows nothing against dancing and it shows. Her presence is certainly not helping to defend against the accusations that the show is dumbing down.



In this case though, perhaps it's better that the judges didn't have the last word. Personally I thought they consistently under-marked Matt and over-marked Scott. Scott's dancing has been disappointing the last couple of weeks and although Matt isn't perfect, he put a hell of a lot more effort into his dancing. The right three are in the final in my humble opinion!

For me thought it was a real pleasure to see one of the Strictly singers getting some recognition. Every week I am totally amazed at their various talents - the ability to sing any type of song, any genre and with such style and emotion. They make the show and should feature more often. You have made a start with the guy who supported Bruce, [can't even remember his name sadly,] now what about the other two!!



And finally, next year lets not have any more comedy acts and hopeless cases like AW, just people who want to embrace the dance. Too much to ask I fear.

FANTASTIC Matt & Kara are through!!

Pamela should have gone out though not Scott - she has been overmarked in every dance by the biased judges & how many times is she going to tell us she's 61!!!! She bores me silly!

Very pleased that Matt got through but I have to say I am not a fan of Aliona's choreography which has looked very ugly at times. I thought their ballroom tango was the best I have seen.

Pamela is fantastic and a joy to watch and James deserves a win as he has been quite unlucky in previous series but I can't help feeling, unfairly I know, a bit put off by the dreadful Billy's creepy presence in the background! (Sorry but I never found him funny).

Kara is wonderful and seems very unassuming = she performed the best lift with Artem that I have ever seen on Strictly. How did they do it!

The show dances from these 3 couples will be A-MAZING.

Although Gavin and Katya were my favourites, definitely the best 3 are though to the finals.

Thrilled that MATT and ALIONA are through to the final, I think thoroughly deserved. Not keen on the shows format tonight. This show was the Jewel in the BBC's crown - sadly not anymore. Whoever has rung the changes in the show has sadly, for me, ruined it.

Am soooo happy Matt & Aliona are through.

As for the others - I think they are all great, have been highly entertaining & would have been happy with any of them in the final but I think justice has been done & the best 3 are in the final.

Please can Matt be marked fairly? I cannot risk losing my voice shouting at the judges from Bristol anymore.

Scott certainly had a right old time of it the last few weeks otherwise I reckon he would have been in the final. Just shows, you can't take anything for granted. His Jive is probably the best I've seen yet. It is amazing how much fun and energy he put into his dancing. And he wasn't selfish, he shared the enjoyment with the audience. He really is a good show dancer and I hope he keeps it up - but with a bit less risk of burning out! And he never had to resort to putting glasses on judges, wiggling his butt in their faces or worse, kissing them.



Gavin is one of these real contestants that makes SCD worth watching. No dancing background and clearly at the start he had no natural ability. He progressed from half dancing/half walking to totally dancing and at least he went out on a high.

I missed the results show because it was our Youth Theatre Christmas performance. I have never turned on my PC with more trepidation but Yeeeeeeeeeeah!!!!!! Go Matt! I can wait to see the show dances.

SO sorry to see Gav leave although had an inkling he and Scott may have done this week.so glad he was in as long as he was though.Made viewing all the more pleasant!!!For a rugby player who is built for rugby and not for dancing to get as far as he did with dances he needent be at all ashamed of was an acheivement in itself.Can he be in the next series too please??!!

just about the right three couples in the final, although scott was close but seemed to slip up in closing weeks. Bit disappointed in the way the finalists were chosen, or should i say the losers were eliminated, as it was ok for the first two couples to celebrate on screen, and for us to see their delight, but poor matt was put through off screen as the last two were eliminated, and it would have been nice to see their immediate reaction too.

The Strictly show isn't live, it is recorded on Saturday evening, that is why there is only a short time to vote.



The BBC never says it's live and most of us know that.

Scott, can i just say that you did exceptionally well and what you achieved was outstanding. I feel sorry for you about the fact that you have had to do both eastenders and strictly. Nonetheless, I thought you done the best you could and have lighted up my saturdays. My son loves you in eastenders and asked 'Who do you want to be like when you're older?' he said 'Jack Branning'. By the way your Viennese Waltz and Jive were sensational. Have your head held up high and you and Natalie deserve huge amounts of praise.

me back again...wanted to say that although i dont like saying negative things about people i do agree with those who say the judges didnt always seem to judge fairly and had favourites who could do no wrong even when they didnt perform as well.i got fed up with Pamela banging on about her and James romance wise and her age and think that secretly Kara knows the score even though she keeps saying she is amazed at getting through.each time they are awaiting their fate she is smiling away as if she knows full well she will get in.she is a good dancer theres no challenging that but i do feel there is a bias towards certain people and some people like Gav for instance and Matt were getting slated when in fact they were putting an enormous amount of effort in and getting better week by week.I would like to see Matt win it over Pamela and Kara.

Hi everyone. I have to echo most of the sentiments expressed above. The right 3 couples were put through to the final and (until I realised there was a tie in the judges leaderboard) it was no suprise as Matt, Kara and Pamela haven't been in the bottom 2 to date.



The great thing about this final is so great and so close if you asked me now who I would vote for (on a dance basis) I wouldn't be able to tell you although I will say I would like the freestyle showdown to be between Kara and Matt. That is nothing personal against Pamela or James. After all in my book whoever wins the final would be a worthy champion in my eyes.



If this series is anything to go by it has shown the wisdom in putting the celebrities fate entirely in the hands of the public. Yes the road has been a bit bumpy because of the length of time Ann was allowed to stay in but even then because of the way the votes went having a dance off wouldn't have made any difference and in fairness (as I said at the start) this voting system is the one strictly started with. It wasn't until Alesha burst on to the scene in series 5 that we had a complete series with a dance off although there was a trial run in the quarter finals the previous year but the public (rather than the judges decided who survived the dance off

The remarks Matt received after his first Semi final dance would have "destroyed" a far less talented mortal.I saw the expression on his face

and to come back and perform in his next dance in the way that he did makes him a Champion indeed.

It's a bit scary how emotional and wound up Matt Baker was...perfectionist? simmer down!!

My betting for the final



Bruno and Alesha will again team up and gush over Kara egardless and she will get 10's



Len will gush over Pamela and she will get a 10 from him



Craig will tell it how it is (only one that does)



Matt will undeservedly get slammed by all four judges who seem to want to demoralise him



The winner will be decided on the show dances, I loved Rachel Stevens and thought she was by far the best dancer, Tom Chambers however delivered probably the best showdance on Strictly and won!! But each year the judges have given critisism of the show dance for one dancer and praised the other and the other has always won - hope they do not get a chance to speak on Saturday on the showdance - their opinion is bias so they should shut up!!!



I really do not like the judges this year - bunch of muppets (CRH is okay)

Oh and I don't want the dance off to return next year, that gives the judges the power and if that was the case we would have Scott and Gavin in the final!!!



The less input they have the better (unless we hopefully have a change in judges next year) hope so as I for one will not be watching!!!

Thankfully the public are behind Kara - that Rumba was a-maz-ing. Fabulous.

Also in regards to Take That, sometimes the performers can be filmed on other nights (weeks earlier) depending on the schedule. Sunday night is not live it is recorded on Saturdays hence why the phone lines close at 7.30pm.



The BBC think the british public are fools and we believe they are live, however we are not fools and we know it is filmed on saturdays.

Am so Pleased that Kara Matt & Pamela made it through to the final & was very pleased that it was Matt who was the one person to say thank you to the camera when the results were announced, makes next months phone bill all worth while.

I was delighted that Matt got through to the final. I think he has been consistently undermarked throughout and it is the public that appreciate his skills and got him there. If it was left to the judges he would have gone and Scott (who was unfairly favoured by at least 2 of them) been there instread.

I don't see how that's possible, considering how much Craig seems to despise Gavin, and how the other judges have gone off Scott.



If there was a dance-off, they'd vote both guys off when compared to the others. (Well, maybe except Matt's salsa, but Aliona only has herself to blame for that mess.)

What really worries me here is the this forum was up in arms every week that Ann was being voted through, saying that Craig was right and that this show should be about dancing not entertainment...



So WHY are there so many people saying Matt should beat Kara because "he tries hard" "he's sweet" "He's fit" "He's undermarked"



Maybe he has been undermarked, but his Salsa was not good! The judges were spot on with that one. Kara has been exceptional all the way through, but because she hasn't been on a journey, or she hasn't been as entertaining throughout, she shouldn't win? This is a dance show, and Kara and (IMO) Pamela are better dancers than Matt, and yet everyone's now saying he should win?

I admit, he is more than worth his place in the final 3, but if this is truely to be considered as a dance contest, then Kara must win, and if there needs to be some entertainment thrown in it has to be Pamela

Matt has clearly put his heart and soul into strictly (-I'm not suggesting here that the others haven't) and has performed to a consistently high standard all series. He took an absolute beating from the judges in the first half of the semis (-mainly for some dubious choreography as far as I can tell) . . . which I'm sorry to say I'm sure wouldn't have happened to some of the other contestants for the same performance.

Good on him for being honest enough to say that it matters and he really wants it - I'd far rather that than lots of simpering "thank yous" and insincere "I can't believe we're through".

Well done to both Scott & Gavin. Both gracious in defeat.

I really can't stand Kara or Pamela and I'm not fussed about Matt either --very very sorry to see Scott go , he was consistently the nicest about the other competitors and behaved like a mature man all the way through in contrast to Matt's childish mood on Friday when the Judges didn't like his salsa --he was like a spoilt child. Kara is so impressed with herself if she were chocolate she'd eat herself , Pamela isn't very nice , I remember seeing her interviewed in the past and she was downright rude to the interviewers and she's another self-licking lollipop and Matt is overly competitive --it's very unattractive Matt --at least when Gavin was competitive he was saying it tounge in cheek --but Matt means it --I don't like any of the finalists --strictly's over as far as I'm concerned :(

I was so sad that Scott and Natalie were eliminated this week, I was longing to see their Foxtrot and perhaps a new version of their American Smooth?



I have loved their partnership from day one with Natalie's superb choreography and Scott's cheeky enthusiasm for the whole experience plus their obvious support for all the other contestants was a delight to see.



They both can be proud of reaching the semi-finals - they made SCD 8 special for me - I re-watch and will continue to do so their many memorable performances. x



(Can someone please explain why Eastenders couldn't give a bit of leeway with their schedule?)

I wanted to see Scott/Natalie in the Final - I'd rather Pamela/James had been eliminated.



I can't forgive the Judges for their undeserved 'Full House' marks.
