Team PamJam - Pamela Stephenson and James Jordan!

What a great couple! I really didn't expect them to be so good. Is this going to be our best granny yet?

Marvellous pairing. Pam is really showing the youngsters how to enjoy the whole experience without all the angst the younger contestants seem to suffer.

All I can say is top girl (at least for right now) and, good recovery on the Salsa!



I predict their Rumba will be a good, especially as it seems that James, from both his previous routines with Zoe and Cheri Lunghi, does seem to do rather well in terms of choreographing them. His and Cheri's Rumba was one of my favoutites of Strictly.. along with Vincent & Rachel's and Camilla & Gethin's.



I think Pamela is Matt's closest competition right now.

I love Pamela & James together. Brilliant in both ballroom & latin such a dream to watch them dance together. Billy & Ola should be very proud of them. The rumba training looks spectacular - good luck for the live show.

Way to go PamJam!! James knows exactly how to get the best out of older women, Cherie Lunghi's rumba was beautiful too, great choreography. I'm glad Pamela and Felicity are giving the young girls a run for their money,it's good for them! Anything worth winning is worth working at.

When I first saw Pamela I thought.....hmmmm wrongly shaped body and a bit long in the tooth compared to the other young things......oh boy was I wrong. This woman is pure magic. I so hope she goes all the way.

To Pamfan - they were dancing to the beautiful ballad by Adele called Make You Feel My Love.

Have to admit I didn't give PamJam a chance in the beginning, but once I saw Pamela's first dance that all changed. She's such a natural dancer and James brings out the very best in her. It's obvious they get on extremely well which comes through in their dancing.

I am a good 20 odd years her junior but would kill to be able to move like that (and would also kill to have James as my dance partner because he is HAWT!!!!!!!!!!). I was there at the show nr the judges last Saturday, and you guys were one of my favourites by FAR! I also loved Scott and Natalie.. but for different reasons.. Different dance etc... I felt that I must congratulate you upon your confession to Claudia on ITT about forcing JJ to amend his choreography to make it a bit flasher and then failing to impress the Judges.

I am so pleased to see the rapport develop between you two and I am sure that with James' guidance you have the ability to reach the final.

My dream team for that night would be a triple ‘P’ event: Pamela, Patsy and Peter as it would prove that you don't have to be a young Adonis or Aphrodite to make it in Dancing, just basically fit and determined.

There are many excellent dancers within your age group and the only difference between you and them is practice.

Please be firmer with wardrobe, as during training you are looking very trim & fit but the dresses are not highlighting this.

Pamela you are fantastic and you make me feel proud because like you I am in my early sixties (I don't like telling anyone my age as everyone thinks that I am a lot younger than my actual age!) You are an inspiration and I love watching you dance every week. You were most definately under scored tonight but don't let it deter you, keep dancing ............

Well done Pamela and James, I voted for you on Saturday so glad you got through I had my fingers crossed and I was getting worried. I loved your pro dances James with the other professionals.

I love Pamela and James, and thought their jive was superb on Saturday. I was lucky enough to be in the audience and could see how nervous Pamela was before the music started. I was right near the stairs and was very impressed with the way she jived down them. Given the marks that other dancers received, I thought Pam and James were seriously undermarked and I am so glad they have survived such a terrible spot on the leaderboard. Onwards and upwards Pamela, show them what you're made of next week and get back to the top, where you belong!

I absolutely love Pamela and James and also thought their Jive was good. I was annoyed at the Judges comments because she is 60 years old and she really goes for it in each of her performances and some of the things she was doing was incredible at her age particularly that back flip (excuse if I have said the wrong term) over James's arm. Totally didn't agree with Craig and Alesha who said the Jive didn't suit her, I thought it did with the bags of energy she seems to have and she especially deserves a big well done jiving down the stairs. I can't wait for their next dance.

Pam is still the best for letting the music flow through her and boy can she dance out the notes! It's like watching a music score in action. You either have it or you don't - and you definitely do. Totally impressed with the confident dancing down the steps, love the enthusiasm and clear enjoyment. Now how about getting a string of 10's! They are long overdue.

I loved your jive Pamela & James - the judges must be mad for only giving you 27 points - it was worth at least 30 or more!!



Don't know what you are dancing next week, but whatever it is I am sure you will be back at the top of the leader board with it.

Well you pair of right little Devils,

I was wary of what the Halloween Theme Show Dance might be like and I was not too disappointed in the end. However your routine got the evening off to a Sulphuric Start.

I thought that your outfits were appropriately brilliant and you both seemed to enjoy the routine to Suzi Quatro's Rocking music.

You were the only pair that whilst using the stairs, were not horribly embarrassed by them, well done.

I usually quote that the only entertainer who looks good on stairs is Peter Kay in Phoenix Nights, because they can be so treacherous, but you both coped beautifully.

It looked like an excellent Jive despite the cameras rolling more than either of you were and I knew that you each put a lot into it because James was as puffed as Pamela.

Perhaps James is not doing enough Push Ups in practice?

You certainly looked as though you enjoyed it and I would like to see how Craig's flicks are nowadays, as he seems to spend most of his time sitting on couches and judging sausages!

Pamela loved you on The Graham Norton Show and well done for reining in that wicked sense of humour, I thought that you might give both Graham and Lee Mack the Bob Monkhouse treatment for a while there. Lord Sugar obviously has a good memory too, judging by his body language as you moved around him.

Finally James, as a Dance Teacher do you have many Sexagenarians with curves like Mrs Connolly? For some reason Pamela is looking twenty years younger and much more womanly than the boyish Miss Daly.

I loved Pam and James' jive. Definitely under marked (the curse of going first). Pam looks amazing' doing a jive at any age is tough and Pam is putting the younger ones to shame. Pam and James to win.

Pamela is brilliant! She is focused and illustrative. We love her in our household - shows you what an older woman with talent and assets can do!



On the serious side - she is a qualified and skilled practitioner in psychology. Too much talent in one person!

Only want to add to the above comments, repeating them really. The marks on Saturday were way off with your dance, and well done to both of you for keeping your dignity and good spirits.Maybe instead of training, trying and giving your best you and the others should all just arrive on a trapeze, dress up as dusters and answer the judges back all the time. ...But a lot of us(I'm not allowed to say "most") do NOT find those antics in the slightest entertaining and hope that this week you are judged fairly.You are a joy to watch and your energy is infectious.

MrsArcanum (64): I agree wholeheartedly. This is one of the few times I get to watch the live show (as opposed to being away and someone texting me that the voting lines are open), and I look forward to a stunning Foxtrot.

It is clear to see how hard you are working with all the weight loss Pam. - Looking good. :¬D

I too didn't think Pamela and James stood a chance in week one and thought that James would be soon taking up his past It Takes Two presenting role. How wrong can you be - Pamela is the most natural dancer in the whole series and feels the dance from the inside out which Bruno says is the only way to dance. Sadly I do not think they will win although they should. I'm not being unkind but I really hope that Ann and Anton don't win it wouldn't be the right outcome. I think it will be a shock tonight which couple leave show - more tears all round I guess!

Well you will know the results by now and James will debrief you Pamela and hopefully get ready for the next leg of your journey. See how confident I am that you should have made it.

Once you two have won this year's competition and basked in the glory I am sure that the statistics of the shows audience, voting and blogging will make fantastic analysis.

For example up to last week Tina & Jared web log had 18 entries on it. They had to leave the show and the resultant blog had over 400 entries ranging from deepest sympathy to death threats to Ann Widdecombe. What is it about people that they charge to aid of an underdog?

SCD is supposed to have an audience of 9 to 11 million but I would be surprised if there were more than a few hundred thousand who actually vote.

Indeed some bloggers are proud of the fact that they do not vote yet they get upset that those who do are not voting for whom the non-voters want to remain.

As usual truth is stranger than fiction and twice as funny.

Good Luck with the training, if nothing else it will make you look the youngest mother with a bus pass.

So glad to see that you have officially lost weight Pamela, because you were pretty shapely before you started the JJ Boot Camp. Perhaps it is all those Press Ups which are good for the arms, legs, chest and stomach; at least that is what my Corporal used to assure me.

The blogs are going mad and the press (even The Guardian and The Telegraph) are making hay on Strictly. I am glad to see that all the Sexagenarians are piling on the Column Inches; you will have to get another scrap book.

Pamela and James are the couple who have made this series worth watching for me.



I have always liked James and was rooting for him when he was the only pro brave enough to speak out against John Sergeant when we lost the lovely Cherie because people voted to watch him dance badly rather than Cherie dance beautifully. We were deprived of seeing Cherie and James do the Tango and Jive. Then James went out before his time again with Zoe, not to mention the most unjust exit EVER in Strictly history - Gabby. The most poignant Strictly moment ever was at the end of that show when Ola embraced her husband, both in tears.



So come on everyone - let's make sure it doesn't happen to our James again this year.



Oh, and now everyone is saying about John Sergeant what James was the first to say, even though there was outrage against him at the time, even from Claudia. That John Sergeant made a mockery of Strictly, he was the beginning of the end. Now we have two camps, the division between entertainment and dancing.

OK you got me; it was only my little joke on the word cheesy and the blog ID. Andreas Stavros which would appear to indicate a Grecian origin.

As everyone is picking on my definitions this week I confess that out of the following from the OED, I prefer No.3, although I do like Stilton so you may decide that I am No.1.

As Andreas appeared to be referring to Craig he may have meant No.4.

A really well performed Cha Cha Cha. Good story, brilliant footwork and all in perfect time to the music. Only week 7 and a definite finalist already.

You was robbed!!Not really fair that you have to keep going first, and you dance was miles better than Gavins.Ditto all the above comments,and please dont fall into the trickery trap, it doesnt actually impress the majority of us who know good and entertaining dancing when we see it. You dont need gimmicks.You'll be taking your glamour to Blackpool I'm sure.

I think the judges scores were stupid on Saturday. You have great timing and great technique and you deserved more than four eights. I think it was silly as Gavin got a higher score(I have to admit it was his best dance)but he messed up the timing a few times and his technique was nowhere near as good. I think the same with Patsy. Don't get me wrong, Gavin and Patsy are good but you're out of their league.

I am such a big fan of Pammela and James.



Like others have commented, why oh why have Pamela and James been first to dance so many times. It is very unfair. There should be a "rota" system for all dancers, so that each couple has to dance first, etc.



Plus, the judges seem to all have negative comments about Pamela and James last night. Others were given fulsome praise. Or, trying to be charitable to the judges, maybe the see a better dancer in Pamela than some of the others, so are making the comments in an effort for her to improve.



Loved James last night standing up to Craig. But got the feeling that it had a negative impact on the scores. The judges are not going to like been told off ....... look how Brendan has been treated over the years.



Also, agree that Gavin was way over marked last night. Now I know that his "routine" was choroegraphed to make it look like a training session, but that was no excuse for the number of mistakes that were made.



Was glad to hear Len last week comment on all the illegal lifts and that they will be marked accordingly in future.



Don't like all the "comedy" routines, and the props. This is SCD not DWTS. Please remember that this is SCd, the first and best.

I must agree with tippytappy, ian ogilvie and MrsArcanum this week, you woz robbed. I loved the Cha Cha Cha part of the dancing (even with the wobbles) and you are an exceptional couple.

However, although it was classy, I felt that the Show Dance start slowed your pace somewhat. I liked the theme, it worked well with the song, but I wish that you had kept your powder dry and just danced a straight CCC on this occasion.

The comedy dancing seems to be taking hold and I do not think that I am being a misery when I feel that there is a time and place. As Erin found out when she and Colin used the dancing Dollies, it may be clever but it doesn't work every time.

I think that you two are unstoppable when you focus on the main dance, Keep It Sweet & Simple and do that VODOO that James does so well.

As for James correcting CRH, well done JJ but where was MR. SMILEY? If you could have commented wearing your Happy Face that we saw in the week, I am sure that the point would have struck deeper.

Good Luck at Blackpool, especially as you have got two brilliant routines to perform for your audience. Lucky Us!

I think Pamela & James are great. Pamela dances so beautifully and is more like a woman in her 30s than a Gran. It's great to see an older woman looking so fab and showing the youngsters how it should be done!! Pam & James for the final!!!
