Is anyone worried about the voting sysyem this year ?



With no dance off - it is going to end up as a popularity contest.

The best dancers may get voted off by accident as people often assume the ones at the top of the leader board are safe - and so don't vote for them.

After all the complaints last year about Alesha why has the BBC continued with her as a judge.

She is very charming and attractive but I feel she has no substance or real knowledge behind her judgements.

I was amused that my comments had to be viewed but a "moderator" George Orwell would be pleased that the thought police still live on and have moved to the BBC.

Just joking chaps I know you have to filter out the potty elements like me ;o)))))

Alesha needs to be replaced as a judge by a professional dancer who knows what they are taking about and who will be able to provide informative feedback to the dancers rather than Alesha's condescending jibes that usually start “you was”.

Why is Alesha still there after all the complaints last year?



Karen Hardy was brilliant last Tuesday on It Takes Two, it would really raise the standards of the show if she was the female judge. She would even be better than Arlene. The BBC couldn't organise a pig in a passage.

I agree with most of the above comments, it is about time Alesha was replaced as she knows nothing about the dancing. All she seems to do is flaunt herself and think she is right. It needs someone more experienced, all her experience she has was winning.

Another thing I feel Tess Daley should be removed or drssed correctly, she looks terrible in very short dresses as she has not got the legs for them.

Someone should do something about the stage lighting for Aliona & Matt. Her dress looks lovely in these photos but clashed horribly with her hair on the dance floor.

Where do we find the scoreboard, it went up that quick last night I missed what everyone got?

Is there going to be a gallery of high res images from the dancefloor like there has been in previous years?

Every year SCD gets better and better. I am loving Pamela & Scott and can't wait to see more. I agree with Margaret, Tess sometimes wears some awful dresses and it isn't it time she took some dancing lessons!!!

I agree, Karen Hardy would make an excellent replacement for Alesha. Looking forward to seeing Claudia on Sunday evening's too. Love her "It takes 2 show".

Not sure about Scott & Natalie's outfits though.

Please can we see some photos of Bruce, Tess and Claudia, either show pics or backstage. They are a big part of the show and always seem to get overlooked. Absolutely loving this series!

Alisha is so patronizing and she knows nothing of substance, we need a proper dancer on the panel. As for the new voting system, well I can see Ann will win! There is not much can de done to stop it. The format of announcing the results is terrible, (especially for the contestants) please do them all in one go.

It is a complete mystery why the BBC doesn't seem to like fans of SCD. The overwhelming majority did not want Alesha back so they bring her back. Okay, their show, but then when I write to them politely asking them why they have brought back a judge whom the public clearly did not take to, this is the reply I got:

After what we believe was a successful first year for Alesha, we're delighted she’s back on the judging panel. As a star performer and past champion of the show, Alesha knows exactly what the celebs are going through and adds a different voice to the judging panel. Her eye for a great performance, plus her charisma and charm make her a great addition to the judges’ line-up.



There seems to be a view at the BBC that to state something is to make it so. As I said in my letter Alesha can't tell 12 celebrities for twelve weeks that she understands how nervous they are. She has no expertise to fall back on and therefore nothing useful to say. How can the BBC deny that she is not a success?



And now we have the Results Show fiasco. Has the new American lady producer not questioned why viewers would tune in to a pre-recorded show with virtually no dancing and where the judges are now redundant? Where is the tension, why should we watch, other than the last five minutes. All we got was a load of uninteresting padding and a very strange appearance from the hitherto excellent Claudia Winkleman who seemed to have wandered into the wrong programme in the wrong clothes with the wrong questions.



The dance-off should be reinstated and the whole show broadcast on a Saturday night, with a break. And BBC, once and for all get it in to your heads that it is not the X Factor and that's why we watch it. Stop chasing ratings, nurture the great show you once had and treat the many millions of fans who have supported SCD over they years with some respect.

What is going on - first we lose some of our lovely professional dancers and then we have

a ridiculous results show. Who is responsible for taking the decision to have no dance-off

and leaving the public with the final vote. Absolutely crazy, change for the sake of change.



How embarrassing for the Judges to have sit and watch such a silly result - it makes them look

stupid and the whole programme unprofessional. I don't watch reality shows but I have always

loved this show because of the professional way it was conducted, this is now dumbed down and I

will probably not watch it any more. Shame on you BBC for forgetting who your audience is.

I agree with all the comments about Alesha being on the panel again and the suggestion that Karen would be far better. Thee BBc should take its viewers advice.

I'm so jealous of the man that gets to talk to the couples after they've danced. I will happily replace him if he falls ill :)

Having Alesha as a judge is simply a joke.



Surely it is obvious for all to see that Karen Hardy should be the next judge, she is professional, knows what is happening and would be a great addition to the panel.

I agree TOTALLY with everything everybody says, from the new results show, which is diabolical, why have they changed it?!! What is the point of the judges judging when it can all be spoilt by the wrong couples going out, this is going to be a complete shambles, and the format is terrible, I nearly switched off, which would a first. Why can't we have it how it was, with a break in between the main show, that was so much better. Alesha, well, what else can I say, just a total waste of time, why can't we have Karen Hardy as judge, she's the best!! Also, Tess's dresses should be kept long and flowing, she looks much better.

I love SCD, it's my favourite show ever but this new producer has gone and spoilt the whole show !!! Send her back to America, I say!

WHAT HAS HAPPENED WITH THE RESULTS SHOW TESS DALY TAKES THE ELIMINATIONS TOO SERIOUS AND WHERE IS BRUCEY THE JOKES ONELINERS THAT HE FEEDS OFF FROM THE AUDIENCE HAS GONE AND INSTEAD WE HAVE "MOTHER HEN" CLAUDIA NOTE THE DRESS SENSE, FILLING IN HIS SPOT WITH TESS 2 FEMALES DONT WORK WITH THIS SHOW BRING BACK BRUCE ITS LIKE LAUREL WITHOUT HIS HARDY . ALSO BRING BACK THE DANCE OFF AS THIS WAS A MUCH FAIRER WAY OF ELIMINATION NOT A POPULARITY VOTE OFF AS ITS NOW BECOME. DANCING YOUR BEST DOESNT NOW MEAN YOU BEING THE WEEKS CAST OFF. RETHINK THIS SCD PRODUCERS.

I don't like the show dancers. Darren & Ian look so out of place, they were much better with the Stars and the women show dancers look so bored. Bring back Lilia, Darren, Ian & Matt where they belong. Really they are all pass winners and a runner up so they had to be good at what they did. I also don't think the new boy that is partnering Tina is up to much either. (Bit out of his depth, I think)

Please bring back the dance off - it always added to the excitement of the competition and usually meant that good dancers were saved. Having no need for the judges in the results show makes the whole thing boring -you may as well just announce the loser after the news.

I don't see the point of the results show (with the exception of the fabulous Claudia) especially as there is no dance off this year...dull, dull, dull. :o(

I'm sure Ann will stay a little too long due to the 'pubilc vote' and we will lose some good dancers who have potential to improve, it's always the way, even when there is a dance-off, it ends up being 2 good performers.



I must agree with some comments that I found the results show a little lacking, I missed the professionals giving a taster of the dances to come in next week's show, in fact the complete lack of professional dancers!! We ended up fast forwarding through most of the programme because it was mostly replays of the previous night's performance. Hmmmm, not sure if the changes are good yet.



I would like to start a petition for the installment of Karen Hardy as the female judge next year, she is so amazing in choreography corner on ITT!!

Why don't we all STOP posting comments until the BBC come to their senses.



They are not even taking the best bits from DWTS such as the judges deciding on their favourite dance from the 'previous' evening and opening the results show with that dance.



I have lived and breathed dancing since I was 10 (I am now 56)and have been at the O2 every time Strictly has been there - no more - this is the end....................................

Does anyone else think that Ola may be pregnant?
