Group dance choreography explained
Hello! I hope you enjoyed the launch show. We certainly did!
And we've noticed that some of you are curious about a particular element of the launch show...
How did our new dancing couples manage to pair up so flawlessly at the end of the group dance when they'd only just found out who they were going to be partnered with? Mmm.....
Well I've done some digging and tracked down a Strictly Assistant Producer who was present at one of the group dance rehearsals and she's let us in on a little secret...
"The celebrities practiced one ending only to the routine; however the professional dancers rehearsed seven different endings - one for each potential celebrity. Just before the routine was performed, the choreographer was able to quickly remind the dancers which ending they had to dance - but as professionals they could adapt easily."
So well done to those who guessed correctly! And what do you think of the celeb dancing so far?

In the group dance, there wasn't actually anyone that stood out for me. I found more people who didn't look good.
There's 3 celebrities who I think could have the potential to win: 1 female, 2 male. Although I think it's time a female celeb won again (Alesha Dixon was the last), I think the men have more of a chance this year.
Front-runner: Michelle and Brendan
Early exit: Paul and Ola
Shock exit: Pamela and James
One to watch: Jimi and Flavia

i find tina o'brien really endearing, gavin seems very earnest, ann i think shows a great deal of self-confidence, maybe not in dancing but in herself and i admire that, and i would love to see paul surprise everyone with a serious side and application...
for me strictly is a balance of journey against inherent talent...i am sure the old chestnut will raise its head again when younger members are voted off leaving anne in, or an accomplished dancer in the early stages is knocked out for a crowd-pleaser...
but when you are complaining...remember, that's why we LOVE strictly...its all about the emotional politics that gets us all watching, even when we threaten not to watch....
