Cloudy, cool, heat promised. Coffee hot, caffeine limit reached by 8am. Full house, all asleep, I'm the only source of movement and likely to remain so for the foreseeable future. Later, when all is buzzing, I'll be the first to retire and read my Radio 2 Book Club choice 'The Son' by Philip Meyer. Rocknroll! Actually I keep reading the same chapter and falling asleep. This is an issue for me, not Mr Meyer. You can hear him on Tuesday next week, not Monday as I am, as I might have mentioned, at child 1's graduation do but it gives you another day to give the free chapter a go.
Movie show back to its traditional, non-tennis, 2 hour format today. Guillermo Del Toro is our guest as the top director responsible for Pacific Rim, one of this summer's biggest, noisiest blockbusters. Robots hitting aliens is the deal and in someone else's hands might be unbearable but with GDT (as he is not usually referred to) you still actually care about what happens. Just take ear plugs!
Then the ARF kicks of and I believe your opening year of requirement is 1988.
Have a mellow and satisfying Friday, see you after 5
