Blearily, wearily to the computer. What happened yesterday? Ah yes that’s it! It was the Folk Awards in Cardiff followed by the trains home. There is no way that a points failure and engineering works is going-in any way-to put a dampener on proceedings. When the train manager advises all his passengers to write in and complain, you know something is up.
However.
Many delights from yesterday. David Gray explaining his love and admiration for Yusuf/CAT, Billy Bragg on the Seegers, Loudon W3 (not a postcode) and the image of Martin Carthy and Bob Dylan slicing a piano to bits with samurai swords. Oh and the young musicians were all extraordinary-check them out on iplayer if you missed it. Amazing virtuosity from the next generation.
So today then with Nige and some pizzas
And as W1A returns to your TV tonight with Hugh Bonneville and co, how about W1A oldies? Could be Ian Fletcher specific or just MANAGEMENT EXECUTIVE NONSENSE songs of joyfulness.
