You loosened the chains

See? Just when you thought the temps were heading relentlessly to double figures and the heating was off, back cones the chill, hail, sleet etc. And there are SO many wardrobe issues today. We have our new Radio 2 photos being taken by ROCK ICON BRYAN ADAMS (can I say this? Who knows! But it’s true!) but who knows what to wear? This is the image that we’ll be stuck with for YEARS so the key is to be NOT FASHIONABLE IN ANY WAY.
This shouldn’t be too much of a problem for most of us. Neutral colours. No 80s shirts. We’ve been told not to arrive wearing any make-up. I will comply with all these rules. Everything I do, I do it for Bryan. He’ll say ‘smile Simon’, I’ll say ‘this is me smiling Bryan’ and we’ll take it from there.
So today we speak to actor, producer and antiquarian bookseller Neil Pearson (Drop The Dead Donkey! Between The Lines! Bridget Jones!) He’s produced a new 5 part series ‘The Missing Hancocks’ from scripts of old Tony Hancock shows which had been lost. These shows from 1955 see Harry Secombe drafted in to play Hancock as the shows’s star had disappeared.
For these re-recordings, Harry’s parts are voiced by his son Andy Secombe. It’s quite a story and Neil will explain more after six. And let’s do LOST AND FOUND oldies please! What have you got?
