There’s a spectacular bird singing in the dark outside my house right now. I really should know what it is but sadly my twitching skills don’t stretch that far. Whatever it is, it’s the most delightful start to Friday. It stops when it gets light then starts again around 5am. Every house/garden should have one.

2 shows today, movies first with James Franco and his brother Dave who star in The Disaster Artist. It’s a film about the ‘best worst movie of all time’ called The Room which came out in 2003. James directs too and it really is quite an extraordinary tale.

The first mobile phone calls were made, the Sinclair C5 was the future of transport (but wasn’t) and Eastenders was the future of soaps (and was). In the cinema it’s A View To A Kill, Back To The Future and Out Of Africa. And on the radio? Who’s got some cool tunes for us?
