Ooh the Christmas names are with us again and what a fine tradition it is. Life would be more entertaining if politicians and world leaders adopted the same idea. Religious leaders too might enhance their reach if they were called Hohoho or Frosty Bins Again. Good work everyone.
If a good weekend can be defined as ‘not getting on the wrong train’ then that was a good one. Each day a success. Child 3 turned 17 and can drive if he wishes, which he doesn’t. But seventeen. I mean for goodness sake, where did all the time go? (consults face for answer)
Top Monday planned with the authors of all the wonderful revamped, retro, hilarious Ladybird books for grownups in today. Joel Morris and Jason Hazeley have hit on such a goldmine! Last year the parodies sold over a million copies. In the range, Ladybird books on Boxing Day, The Grandparent, the Zombie Apocalypse and The People Next Door. Chances are you had an original somewhere and remember the beautifully drawn idealised families and folksy information. Innocent illustrations, sarcastic words, lots of laughs.
