Well A flat out day of vinyl, bushcraft, pizza and rocknroll. Not bad really! Child 2 welcomed her record player and vinyl as the best present ever. And suddenly, courtesy of messrs McLaren, Fagen, Henley, Frey et al we were back in the world of gatefold sleeves, artwork, lyric sheets etc. 33, 45, 78 and the mystical 12rpm (did anyone else have the 4 speeds?). And all the old vinyl came out, along with a boring dad-story to go with it. We could be here for some time...
And then Elton last night was on top, top form, rocking the Radio Theatre sending everyone home happy. When the show finished he just carried on! Folk needed to get home but Sir Elton was unstoppable; how can you go home when he starts up Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me? A real treat for all, check it out if you missed any of it.
