Hooray for Wednesday. Hope all good with all bloggers, sparky little show yesterday. And with the 'why is the speed of light 186,000 miles per second?' question and answer rattling round my head, I ran to the Royal Institution to hear Prof Brian Cox do a lecture on the science of Dr Who. It is one of his televised talks with some fine filmed inserts in which he 'acts' with Matt Smith. But the rest of it was just BC talking and illustrating and experimenting. And here's the thing with Prof Cox-he doesn't do easy. This was not dumbed-down-for-TV- science, this was work-hard-to-stay-with-me science. Chid 3 soaked it all up of course, us arty types needed furrowed brows. Just don't ask me to explain it all.
Today we offer you the kind of football guest that even Sally Traffic will be interested in. And that is Harry Redknapp. Current boss of QPR, former boss of Spurs, Portsmouth and West Ham and the people's choice for England boss. But his face didn't fit at the FA and he'll doubtless have a few well-chosen words for them tonight. His book is' Always Managing' and it's like having Harry in the room with you for a few hours. And that's a good thing. Straight talking, candid and very entertaining.
And HARRY REDKNAPP oldies please for a good old fashioned football man.
