Full day's work (well…) by 8.30am. 4.40 start, paper read, twitter indulged, comfort breakfast, coffee, child woken and sent on his way, Lenny Henry Blues album on, mowed the lawn, painted the house, bought a cow. So it’s time for lunch already. Drivetime by 2pm would be fine really…

Time to turn the heating off? Can we trust the figures? 20 degrees by the weekend you say? Well maybe one more night's worth of radiator action before the great switch off. 4.40am is pretty cold still you know…
