Me say day, me say day-o

Sunny, cold. They promised milder and they LIED. Looks like the same rotten single digit temperature FOR EVER. When oh when do we get to wear cheesecloth again? It’s been too long that’s all. In the meantime I’ll have to make do with Radio 2’s trad cowboy outfit to get me through the weekend-we’re all looking mighty fine. My show on R2C is today at 4-Cookin’ it Country (no ‘g’). Featuring Nigel and Hungry Bob, it’s loads of fine country songs about food, plus some finger lickin’ (no ‘g’) recipes which are already up for your approval on the appropriate pages right here.

Then you can either switch back for an ARF or stick for an hour of Don Henley Country. It’s a fine show and it was good to speak to him again yesterday. I don’t think he’d talked about performing Hotel California ‘from top to bottom’ before, but what a show that would have been!

So while Don does his thing on R2C, we will kick the ARF of with some good old ditties from 1988. A Brief History of Time is gracing many a coffee table, the first Red Nose Day raises £15 million and at the movies it’s Big, Beetlejuice and Die Hard. Yippy-Ki-Yay indeed! But which song takes your fancy to kick the whole thing off?

Top weekend eveyone!
