Spice v Moth

Sunny here. Sun’s up. Hat is on. Hip hip hip hooray. Autumnal warmth at last for most today. Shorts and sunnies the order for the day, at least till I leave the house anyway. If I had a soft top car, it would be down and dandy today.

Ok so enough of the rock stars! Make way for a super special Foody Thursday as we reveal the result of our search for the nation’s favourite curry. We put ten of the most popular dishes on the shortlist and today Chetna Makan from last year’s Bake Off will announce the winner. Then she’ll make it and deliver to your door, get your orders in now! Nigel will be creating some side dishes too and suggesting some liquid refreshment. Should be a classic dish!

And tonight is also Moth Night across the UK. We are all being asked to look out for and count the moths in our patch. Particularly the huge Convolvulus Hawk Moth, one of Europe’s largest. They have been spotted in large numbers along with many other migrant moth species. So MOTH MUSIC please and put away all negative thoughts of eaten jumpers and embrace the 12cm wingspan and 7.5cm proboscis. Get the songs in! Open those windows!
