(original and specific you have to agree)

Fabulous Friday greetings to one and all. Looks like a warm and wet one here, with autumn returning by Sunday. Flip-flops and sou’westers at the ready. Like a normal summer really.

A double show-day with the wonderful Sir Ian McKellen in today to talk about his 93 year old Sherlock Holmes. 'Mr Holmes' is his new movie, not a Conan Doyle tale but based on a novel by Mitch Cullin called A Slight Twitch of the Mind. The great detective has retired, tending his bees and worrying about both his last case and the state of his once brilliant mind. It’s as much about loss and memories as Sherlock Holmes but Sir Ian is wonderful. He’ll be on after 2.30

Then we ARF the Radio 2 airwaves (and digital equivalent. Whatever that would be). 1996 has been chosen as our opening year of requirement! England hosted the European Championships (oh those penalties), Take That split up (what would we do!) and at the movies it’s Independence Day, Mission Impossible and Twister (watch out for the flying cow). But which tunes do you fancy?

Have a top weekend!
