Burn After Reading

Well what a day to try travelling to Cheltenham. You know you're in trouble when the station concourse is awash with grumpy travellers. 'Next fast train to Cheltenham...Delayed' proclaimed the noticeboard and so we milled about until alternatives were found. So we zoomed up the A40 and made it all in double quick time. And we had a great time in our writers marquee. Outside it was blowing a hooley and umbrellas were dying but inside, on our cream sofas, we were safe and sound with some sparkling talent on parade. The kids were great and some had travelled for ever to be there-a big thank you to all our reviewers who came along to deliver their verdicts. All the travel news told us we couldn't make it back via Reading, so it was the A40 for us again, and much faster it was too. We should do that again some time...

Today we ease back into the studio with a TUNESDAY after 6. A musical hot tub of loveliness. And your oldies please on the subjects of SURPRISES. You might have noticed that there's a thing happening tonight at 8pm. On every BBC TV channel and every Radio Network (apart from Radio 3 who are in a live concert moment) you'll see a thing. It's not a long thing but it's a lovely thing and you'll be happy you made the effort. That's about all I can say really. But there'll be a number of surprises contained within a longer surprise so SURPRISES will do nicely.
