Back door open, fans on, brows mopped. Super-hot Thursday for most. Won't be this hot for long so we'll enjoy it while it's here. You might think, what with it being Foodie Thursday and everything, that Nigel might be preparing a cool salad, maybe a chilled gazpacho or a plate of cold meats with dips, chopped raw carrots and delicately arranged slices of spring onions. But no, stand by for a pork vindaloo. It has a proper title in Portuguese but pork vindaloo it remains.

Phew it's a scorcher etc.
