How many? As I write the blog entry count is 1183 so you've been very busy bloggers indeed. And I never even sent the 'keep-this-thing-alive' post so something, somewhere has improved since last time. Forgive me if I haven't actually read all the entries just yet. I trust that Ryan was good company and a stylish host (although, being your typical, needy presenter, not too good or stylish).
So the shorts are away, as is the supportive-beach footwear. Socks and shoes are my friend again and my Radio 2-issue slacks are back with their jaunty multi-pocket arrangement. The vast amount of baguette consumed however might make the fit a little tight this time around. I have managed to eat my bodyweight in croissants. How the French manage to have a wonderful boulangerie in every tiny village is a marvel. Not a doughnut to be seen. The queue every morning was something to behold, 75% British and all of us pretending to be French. But you can spot us all a mile off and so can the shop keepers 'Quatre vingt onze pain au chocolate monsieur? Encore une fois?' Gallic shrug. You know how it goes.
And today we are back with another rather fine Radio 2 Book Club. The Spring Of Kasper Meier is a debut novel from Ben Fergusson and set in the rubble-strewn Berlin of 1946-all the details are on the Book Club pages. Read that chapter and see what you think. Ben will be with us after 6.
And we need SUPERMOON oldies please. The photos are fantastic. It's a perigee moon according to astronomers-appearing bigger and brighter than usual because of its proximity to the earth. And it's getting bigger and brighter till Sunday (I think). Tunes please if you can still do this thing...
I'm exhausted already. Need a croissant or 4.
5pm?
