912 is the total as I write so I am a big loser here. Though I hadn’t reckoned for the alcohol driven posts which seem to have boosted things somewhat. Glad (if ever so slightly disconcerted) that everything has ticked over rather fine without me. Anyway we’re all back and poised for a triumphant return! Hooray for us!



I have done some Hay Festival, I have done some Cornwall and I have done some Venice. I have talked to Stephen Fry, walked on beaches and eaten way too many pizzas. I have driven hundreds of miles, creaked along the M4 and gondola-ed a few canals but now it’s time to stop playing…



Top drivetime action today with all the team back raring to go (I haven’t checked, just assuming). Book Club time with Hannah Rothschild (yes that Rothschild) and her novel The Improbability Of Love. The title didn’t appeal but the story does! The title refers to a painting, a lost masterpiece that is discovered by our heroine Annie McDee who quickly realises that a whole bunch of other people want it/need it/will stop at nothing etc. And sometimes the painting does some narration too…read some while you’re here…

Can we do MASTERPIECE songs? Yes i think we can
