Your dreams were your ticket out

Oh right there you all are, I was wondering what had happened. Then I realised it was all my fault.

It was only 3 weeks. 1851 posts I think. Is Melanie the winner? I think so, so she wins the bloggers salad bowl with carved Radio 2 salad servers with an image of Ken Bruce on one, and Sara Cox on the other. Something to cherish. Hope all very good here and big thanks to MG for sitting in.

What is happening here? I’m just catching up…I was in Iceland for a while and having a blast-what a fabulous country. Glacial lagoons, hot rivers, active volcanos, thick jumpers, strong beer, fermented shark (not tried) and the coolest hosts. Home for a bit, writing for a bit, watching the Olympics a bit, showing my Iceland photos A LOT. But no one needs see your holiday photos anymore. If you use any social media, everyone you know has already seen your favourite beach/sunset/strange alcoholic beverage before you’re home. Those old slides you’ve got somewhere are from the Dark Ages.

But we are back with a top Book Club choice ‘Miss You by Kate Eberlen. It is all about 2 people, Tess and Gus, who meet once when they are 18 and then we follow them as they never quite meet up over the next 16 years. A little One Day in the best way, and very much it’s own enchanting story. You can read it here!

And (as if there was any doubt) TEAM GB oldies today. What an extraordinary achievement. Finishing second? Are you kidding? What a summer of brilliant sport, so your appropriate tunes would be the garnish on the olympic trifle (if indeed you garnish a trifle).

So thats 5pm. Today. I remember...
