Well hey there. Good morning/afternoon depending on when your read this/how long it spends in the BBC tubing. Summer wardrobe still hanging on here-looks pretty sweaty for most of the day. We all might be a little ripe come 5pm (air-con studio very welcome).

Today we welcome Yuval Noah Harari to the show. The author of Sapiens is someone I’ve been hoping to have on the show for a while-Sapiens is one hell of a book. President Obama was asked recently which books he’d read on holiday and Sapiens was one of them. Is that enough to get you interested? He’s a history prof in Israel and Sapiens was a brief history of mankind. His new book Homo Deus is ‘a brief history of tomorrow’, looking at how we will evolve and adapt to the technological changes which will revolutionise everything. I’m hoping he’ll be great.
