Good morning. Lovely Friday and no travels to embark on. Yesterday's hectic pace was rewarded with some fine times with Tom Hanks and his director Paul Greengrass who did, as expected, steer everything round to football. But it is Mr Hanks who is the star and once again delivers a masterclass in how to do an interview. He is the master. He looks terrific too, fresh faced and trim, despite his much-reported health issues (this is gushing now so stop it, you sound ridiculous). That interview goes out today on the 5L show from 2.
Then it is our lovely ARF which will kick off with something tasty from 1973. Cod wars, Edward Heath the Open University, Liverpool and Celtic are Champions and Dark Side of the Moon takes over the world. And your host is quietly enjoying his first cassette tape recorder, taping the charts off the radio and feeling very hi-tech. Even if the word hadn't been invented. Choose away!
