My inner Bear

…Grylls that is. This is the only way I can explain my heroic capture of a wild, crazed, filthy pigeon. The message is now clear- don’t wander into my house, poo on the floor and sit in my bread bin without suffering the consequences. I WILL throw a towel over you and I WILL place you in the garden. Zero tolerance for pigeon laziness and lifestyle choices.

Super hot today and tomorrow (for many) and the fairest of us will start to wilt just a little. Fans will be deployed, air conditioning sought and salad will be the only food choice for the wise (particularly fond of my chilli mayonnaise in case you see any). Drink more! And not prosecco!

It’s not Friday and you’re not a sloth!

And top guest today is Ray Davies, one of our biggest, greatest stars, the writer of so many wonderful pop classics. Many years ago, in a studio far, far away, he sat opposite me and sang Waterloo Sunset-what a moment that was (for me obvs, he won’t remember). And he’s back playing at the Greenwich Music Time gig in London next month. Don’t miss Ray!

And let’s take your favourite SUMMERTIME songs please. Crack open the gently carbonated elderflower cordial!

Blog comments will be available here in future. Find out more.
