Fringe benefits

Simon Mayo

Presenter

Well here we are again, sunkissed and gorgeous. Thanks for keeping the blog busy and ticking over rather impressively while I've been away (and that's a lot of posts btw. No prizes for me!)

As you might guess I'm on the train north to Edinburgh, desperately saying no to croissants. A man can only have so much bread before he explodes; pain au choc, pain au rasin, pain d'abricots, I've had them all, followed by baguettes on toast. This will change in Scotland where broccoli and salad will rule the day.

Show 1 will feature live tunes from Sean Escoffrey, a confession from Arthur Smith, live books with Paul Merton, Joanne Harris and Matt Haig, plus Fringe favourite Adam Hills. I also need a new wardrobe as all my t-shirts have brands on. Normally not a problem but with that red button bringing the show to your TV? No chance! So a quick shopping trip before 5pm needed. This means that all the music is on video! I don't press any buttons and you have another week off choon-chasing! Apologies if you were poised, already to pick fabulously funny and topical songs, but next Monday is your day...

Until 5 then...
