Well this is all going swimmingly isn't it?

I went to a lovely summer drinks party last night down near the Thames. It had presented me with a bit of a dilemma; how to enjoy the event while missing the football. That was soon sorted however as everyone realised that we were enjoying the event because we were missing the football. As trays of tiny food passed by, the latest dreadful news was muttered from group to group. Plus I had predicted an Iceland victory in Matt's league but he talked me into a draw with Iceland winning on penalties. I demand another vote.

Well hooray for Tunesday at least! Hooray for an oasis of loveliness for the drive home/kitchen routine/end of work. We might make everyday a Tunesday for the foreseeable future...

And all week you can hear all your Radio 2 favourites visiting the shortlisted Museums of the Year: Arnolfini in Bristol; Bethlem Museum of the Mind, Beckenham; Jupiter Artland, West Lothian; Victoria and Albert Museum, London and York Art Gallery. So much pleasure and wisdom to be found at a good museum so MUSEUM oldies please!
