A more sedate start to proceedings. Toast has been taken, child 1 sent on his way with wrapping paper and scissors, second (and final) coffee underway. And I have more fruity amorous acronyms than I know what to do with. I mentioned them yesterday from Simon Garfield's book but you were on it already here of course! Barely any of them repeatable in polite company but pretty good for a laugh-did any of them really get used? Most seem American in origin and date from WW2 but most seem to live on in folk memory rather than anywhere else. And you can always make your own up...

Nige produces a vegetarian Christmas today with bells and whistles and I'm thinking CHRISTMAS SHOPPING oldies please. Seems like a full-on Thursday today and smiling, grateful shoppers will be swapping stories of Christmas past as they wait patiently to purchase a bauble for their great uncle and drop coinage in the Sally Army tin as they pass. Isn't that right? It's something like that anyway...
