Where's the sense in that?

Well the loudest band in the world (apparently they still have the record) took to the Radio Theatre stage last night. There are almost certainly rules about that sort of thing these days-they sounded no louder than Muse a few years back-but they certainly were a band who knew exactly what they were doing. 100 million albums sold gives you a certain swagger and Deep Purple certainly had that last night. A few more hits would have been wise I feel for those outside the core but a finale of Smoke On The Water, Hush and Black Knight was a stomping conclusion.

Ears still ringing (though they do that anyway), onwards to Friday joys. Films first with John Lithgow talking about Daddy’s Home 2 and some of the other fine films and shows that he has graced over the years. Then it’s an ARF in the dark with 2003 plucked as the opening year of requirement. Den Watts returned to Eastenders 13 years after being killed off, Brookside ended after 21 years, and England became rugby union world champions after defeating Australia 20-17 after extra time. At the movies it’s School of Rock (classic), Finding Nemo and Lord of the Rings: Return of the King. And some tunes from all those years ago?? What have you got from 2003?

Have a top weekend!
