Excellent bake yesterday from Nigel, good flavours. You know when you can still taste a good meal the next day (in a good way)? Well, that. And the veggie chorizo was quite something. Ignore what Matt said, he loved it really.
Busy Friday here with some terrific movie chat via Tom Hanks and Meryl Streep talking The Post, Steven Spielberg’s new film about The Washington Post and how it covered the Pentagon Papers story in 1971. It is as good as you would imagine it would be and Tom and Meryl are great advocates for their cause (as you might have heard wit Steve yesterday).
Then we ARF with some 1980 chosen as the kick-off. Back when Yes Minister debuted on BBC TV, Alton Towers opened and the Queen makes history by being the first British monarch to visit the Vatican. At the movies it’s The Empire Strikes Back, The Shining and Airplane! And you were buying singles! And cassettes! You had big hair and shoulders! And what tunes should be play at 5.05? Over to you...
