Evan can’t wait

6.52am. I don’t need to be up this early. No kids to wake up, no early appointments, no wild birds to capture. So it must be

a) the thrill greeting a new morning, unspoilt by chatter, interruption and stuff in general (this is poetry).

b) the thrill of show prep for another lovely week of Drivetime

c) the thrill of a trip to the bathroom.

Actually it’s all three. I have already done the washing, swept the kitchen, read the paper and thought deeply about the complexity of life.

Time for coffee…

Time for another coffee…

Maybe one more…

Given the news from Greece and the collective scratching of heads today, how jolly useful to have Evan Davies on the show. The BBC’s former Economics Editor and Newsnight host has a new series of Dragons' Den this Sunday and we will doubtless discuss that show’s phenomenal success, but first he’ll have just have to tell us what on earth is going on. Once he has sorted that particular issue, we can talk about his show, the dragons and the art of winning investment for your good idea. DRAGONS’ DEN ditties please and if you manage to incorporate global financial volatility then you might be a genius.

Too early for elevenses?
