Head out on the highway

This blog written from the garden, with a pleasant coolness in the air. This won't last long obviously but so far, I haven't needed a shower for 20 minutes. The screeching that accompany these words come from my friends the swifts who have moved in on a temporary basis. They're early risers/never go to bed but we're very tolerant round these parts.

Top guest today, TV Prof Alice Roberts, her off Coast, Time Team and The Incredible Human Journey. Actually, more properly, she's the anatomist, anthropologist and the professor of public engagement with science at the University of Birmingham. In other words, she knows stuff we don't. Her new project is how you tame wildness. She's been looking at (amongst other things) dogs, horses, wheat, potatoes and apples. Basically we domesticated wild species and they became our allies. This is fascinating stuff and Prof Alice is in charge. So let's go with this and do WILD oldies.

Go ahead, live dangerously...
