Scarves, gloves, thermals. Shovel, flask, travel rug. Hunkering down and carrying on...
A weekend of reading, entertaining and watching The Death of Stalin for the third time. It really is a fantastic film, managing to be laugh out loud funny without avoiding what was a dark, chaotic, murderous time. Armando Iannucci has made a classic with a brilliant cast-Simon Russell Beale, Jason Isaacs, Steve Buscemi and Michael Palin lead the way. So how wonderful to welcome back Michael Palin to the show! A comedy icon and (as I believe might have been mentioned before) all-round NICE BLOKE. We haven’t seen him acting in such a high profile role for ages and he’s wonderful as the feeble, Stalin-loyalist, foreign secretary Molotov.
And how about a MICHAEL PALIN playlist? Songs for MP! Python! Travel! Niceness! So much to work with...
