Well it wasn’t a catastrophe anyway. The speech I had to make at child 3’s school last night seemed to go ok. No one walked out, heckled or threw anything. I never got round to my juggling and card tricks but maybe next time...
Well today looks interesting. Anyone who was anywhere in the 70s and 80s will have heard the influence of tonight’s guest, David Byrne. I loved Talking Heads. They managed to be stylish, funny and cool as well as selling millions of records. He then earned an Oscar, a Grammy and a Golden Globe for the soundtrack to The Last Emperor. He’s authored 9 books, directed a film and curated several art exhibitions alongside his musical output. Now he’s been on a speaking tour of Europe and last night (missing my speech) he spoke in London on the subject Reasons To Be Cheerful full (obviously) of positivity and reasons for hope. he sounds like our sort of guy.
And your songs can be part of that so lets compile a playlist of OPTIMUM OPTIMISM and CHEERY CHEERFULNESS
