Deep Blue Something
Well who knows how this all works? Yesterday's blog was sent in nice and early (as ever) and then it disappeared. Maybe it was lost in the miles of underground pipes/tubes/fibre optic cables, queuing behind a host of urgent communications and memos. Maybe it had to be vetted. Maybe someone was on holiday. Anyway, apologies for the v late arrival. Maybe it will still be the morning when you read this Thursday dawning dull here but a show with lovely things is on the way. Patrick Ness will be on talk about the last Terry Pratchett novel 'The Shepherd's Crown'. This will be a tough moment for the millions of Discworld fans; many have been saying they don't want to start it, knowing that there won't be another one. Patrick is one of the best writers out there (his latest The Rest Of Us Just Live Here is also out today) and says that Discworld is 'one of the very most fabulous creations in all literature'. Patrick is on at 5.20 Nigel cooks! Nigel lives! Nigel offers 'Summer skirt with salsa and something else to make it lovely' to give it its proper name. And inspired by our crabs, bottom dwellers and the Big Blue Live chats, its time for UNDER THE SEA tunes please. It's the second BBL tonight from Monterey so the perfect time for your toppermost/bottommost suggestions.
