Well I'm within 100. Usually my blog guesses are preposterously far out, but after 7 years I'm getting better at this lark. Thanks for keeping the blog afloat and thanks to Suzi P for taking the helm. I've been in Cornwall on compulsory family time and eating way too many tourist-related foodstuffs. Yesterday I ate fruit and vegetables, ignored all pastries and pasties and my body went into shock. What is this thing called 'health'? Bring on the broccoli and the tap water!
Anyway. Onwards. Back in London on Saturday and I'll just say that I love London and I love Londoners. Child 1 has gone to work, child 2 has come back from work, child 3 has gone to school. Keeping calm and carrying on is a cliche but it's working for me.
Book Club today with debut novelist Imran Mahmood. His book is 'You Don't Know Me' and, amazingly, is essentially a monologue. With the exception of a couple of pages, the whole book is a speech to the jury given by a man who has just sacked his barrister. It's a murder trial which has reached the summing up stage so this is the end of the trial and essentially it means we become the jury. Did he do it? It's very bold, hear Imran after 6 and read a chapter here.
Meantime as the whole book is based on what you know or don't know or think you know, let's do KNOWING oldies and play some fine tunes.
