Jean left town with her daughter, Charlie
Jean is Charlie's mother. Charlie's dad left when she was a child, and Jean is rather over-protective of her wee girl. She doesn't have much going on in her own life so likes to interfere in Charlie's. She always means well but she can be quite suffocating and often succeeds in getting people's backs up!
She was incredibly wary of Bob when they first met but concedes that he makes her daughter happy, and has helped plan their wedding.
