Charlie arrived in Shieldinch as the new cleaner in Versus. She made friends with Kelly-Marie and quickly fell for Bob!
She was taken hostage by Lenny, when he tried to control Bob, but in a big showdown set up by Eddie and McCabe, she was saved by her beloved Bob.
She was determined to stay a virgin, which Bob respected and the two have been very happy together.However, a chat between Bob & Deek was misunderstood, leaving Charlie angry that Bob might just be wanting to get her into bed. They argued and split up. Charlie rushed off to a party, got drunk and slept with Liam! She couldn't remember what happened and let everyone go along with Bob's theory - that Liam raped her. Finally, the truth is out but Bob was horrified and it took a long time before they got back together. She's since slept with Bob and they're happy again.
Taking a leaf out of her boyfriend's book, she's working hard on her business and has taken on Terri to work for her. Charlie and Bob have been understandably disturbed by Lenny's return from the grave but they're using their compensation money to start their life together. They bought one of Marty's flats and Charlie has been shopping for Scotland, to kit out their new home with the ultimate in pink cushions. However, as soon as they found out Lenny was involved with the flats, they pulled out of the deal and have since moved in to Billy's flat.
The pressure of buying the flat with the compensation money got too much for Bob and the pair split for a while, after she accidentally thought she was engaged to him! Happily, the whole debacle made him see sense and they're now properly engaged.
