Tacky Jackie

Booooooo hissssss! Stella's maw was a proper bad yin! I think I will name her Tacky Jackie due to her dodgy hair clips and poundshop presents for Stella! I really felt for poor Stella, she was finally ready to forgive her mum and start trusting again but it was all a big fat LIE! It turned out that her harpy of a mother was only being nice so that she could con Stella out of her Gran's inheritance. Stella nearly turned to drink over it but Bob talked her round and you know what? I think that this will make the pair of them stronger than ever!

The Lenny vs Scarlett tug of war over Callum is still going on, both of them are battling to become the best grandparent! Maybe I'm a bit shallow, but if I was Cal I'm pretty sure I'd prefer Lenny's gift of a trip to Disneyland over Scarlett's present of a Barbie pink bike!! However, everyone learned a valuable lesson at the end - it's not presents and money that matter but what's best for Callum. Do you think Scarlett and Lenny will actually stick to this new philosophy for long? Nah, me neither...

Dr Handsome seems to have himself a little problem - he can't get enough of the gambling! It started off with a little flutter on the horses and escalated to him losing thousand of pounds on an online gambling website. There was one other small detail that added to Dan's problems - he used the surgery credit card for his bets! Ouch! How on earth is he going to cover up thousands of pounds missing from the business account?! Looks like our heroic Indiana Dan ain't so squeaky clean after all!

Behind the scenes in Shieldinch: we filmed the last scenes of Series 7 on Saturday. We had someone in the morgue, someone in the hospital, someone in prison and someone traipsing though a forest but you won't find out what that's all about until March! Oooh, how I like to tease you all! We've actually already started work on the storylines for Series 8 but we won't start filming again until February so the cast and crew are all off on a well earned break.

I won't be here next week, but I'll be back bright and breezy the following week. Don't forget to let us know what you thought of this week's episode by commenting below.

Quote of the Week

Lenny's Lair

Ooooh, so the truth is out about Ewan being Callum's Dad but it's only the beginning of the drama. Kelly-Marie is determined that Lenny will not be involved in Bugsy Malone's life but Lenny isn't about to let that happen, he is going to make sure that he has access to his grandson. What lengths will Lenny be willing to go to? And I found myself saying 'aww poor Jimmy' again, as one minute he was delighted to find out that Scarlett's test were negative and the next he was gutted to find out that Scarlett and Kelly have been lying to him for weeks. The Mullen's better stop fighting from within cause Lenny could be about to open a huge can of whoop-ass on them.

Stella and Bob are very, very cute, I think we have our new Shieldinch golden couple - I hope you all agree! Unfortunately though, Stella seems to have a lot of unresolved issues with her absent mother. Next week, she will arrange to meet her estranged mother but will Stella have the guts to turn up? And if she does meet her, I'm a little bit wary of what this mother will be like - Stella didn't exactly give her a great write up, I think the term was 'vicious cow'? Eeek!

Zinnie the Pooh was trying to stir up some trouble again this week - I do love her crazy, pointless scheming! Most villains scheme because it will benefit them in some way, but not oor Zinnie, she's just mean for the sake of being mean! I LOVE IT! This week she was trying to get Stevie into trouble with Dr Brodie but it looks like Stevie won't need any help in that department! Despite being warned off by her father, Stevie has taken Nicole on a date - what will the Doc think about his 15 year old daughter dating a 19 year old recovering drug addict?! Oh dear...

Quote of the Week

Lenny (to Kelly-Marie about Scarlett): "Say I was asking for her. But make sure she doesn't choke on her cornflakes when you tell her."

The old pull my finger joke...

Pull My Finger

Let that be a lesson to all you rude people, never ask Dave to pull your finger, he'll just try and break it - this is what happened to poor Stevie as you can see in the picture above! Dastardly Dave was blackmailing Going Straight Stevie into robbing Lenny's taxi office but in the end Stevie did the right thing and saved the day. Leading up to his heroics there was a lot of crazy gun-hiding shenanigans, it was in the bin but the bin men nearly took it away, so it was in the laundry room, then in the rucksack, then back in the bin...oh no it isn't... Dave has taken the gun and is pointing it in Molly's face!!! Ahhh, and relax, Dave has been carted away by the polis. It was all very exciting and very entertaining! I must admit, I do feel a little bit sad that Dave the cherry eating maniac has gone!

There was a moment in this episode when I thought Lenny had really hit rock bottom - really Lenny, stealing little boy's cups? How much do you think you'd get for that on the black market? Nah, actually he was stealing it to do a DNA test to find out if Ewan was Callum's father. The Mullen's won't be very happy when they find out that Lenny has been sneaking about behind their backs! But they had more important things to worry about this week, Scarlett had a check up which flagged up something abnormal - could her cancer be back? How lovely was it when Jimmy presented Scarlett with his cheapo ring? After fixating on Scarlett's ring all episode, Jimmy realised that he'd be "happy if she was wearing a rubber band as long she was his wife" - how sweet! Aaaaaw!

Tattie and Iona had a right old barney and told each other a few home truths this week. After venting their anger, they seem to of buried the hatchet somewhat - could this be the beginning of a beautiful friendship? Hmm, probably not. They're both missing Big Bob very much, when on earth is he going to come back?!

Next week you can look forward to Lenny confronting Kelly-Marie about the DNA results and Stevie getting on the wrong side of Dr. Brodie. Most intriguingly, there could also be trouble ahead for the golden couple Stella and Bob - what is this talk of Stella's mum and what has Stella been lying to Bob about? Ooooh, can't wait to find out!

Tatiana

Well, the tears are still streamin down my face as I write this! Tonight was very harrowing but what an absolutely fantastic episode. Actors Magdalena and Tom were brilliant as we followed Tatiana and Big Bob through Tattie's induced labour. For a moment it looked like Big Bob was going to let his wife go through it alone but he arrived in the nick of time. Unfortunately, it didn't last long, poor Bob was unable to cope with the fact that baby wasn't his and has gone off to a music festival to clear his head. One of the most heartbreaking things in this episode was Molly dealing with her own memories of having a baby that was still born. I was so moved by Una McLean's performance, it was really upsetting to see the usually strong and funny Molly bearing her heart. I hope you all agreed, let us know what you thought below. If you have been affected by the issues, you can visit our Information and Support page.

But, it wasn't all tears and heartbreak tonight, I had a big smile on my face at the return of ex-junkie Stevie! He got a wee certificate for being 6 months clean, much to Eileen's annoyance! But even Eileen was charmed by Stevie in the end and she's let him kip in the spare room! Hoorah! Stevie is determined to make a new start for himself, he's got himself clean and is starting up his own handyman business. In amongst getting certificates, fixing showers and charming everyone, he even had time to make teenagers Christina and Nicole swoon - looks like both girls might have crush on him! But this is Shieldinch and no one is allowed an easy ride of it, so on cue Dastardly Dave has shown up to try and lure Stevie to the dark side!

Dastardly Dave is a wannabe associate of Lenny but Mighty Murdoch wasn't impressed with how Dave handled himself so he told him to get lost. I don't blame Lenny, this bloke is a bit freaky! He was cutting about Montego Street scaring young boys, aggressively chatting up Kelly-Marie and worst of all he stole 10p from some dude playing a puggy - what a scumbag!!! He's also forced Stevie into hiding a gun for him - boo hiss! Stevie is trying to go straight, so what will he do?! Tune in next week to find out!

Quote of the Week

Raymond (to Stevie about Eileen): "You've won over the ice queen...that is an achievement."

Tattie and Big Bob's Heartbreak

Well, there will be no Tattie related puns this week as her storyline is extremely sad. Tatiana and Big Bob found out tonight that their baby had died in the womb at about 20 weeks old. Next week we will see Tatiana go through the induced labour which will be very emotional but not to be missed. Will Big Bob be at her side after finding out the baby wasn't his? On a (somewhat) lighter note, Fran the Kiss-A-Scam was doing some more eeeeeeeevil kissing this week. She actually managed to lure an unsuspecting Lenny into her bed! Now I didn't think I'd ever see the day when Lenny Murdoch would be fooled by a pretty face! He's not known her very long but Lydia is already a distance memory and he's fallen hook, line and sinker for Frances' fake persona. It seems even big time gangsters aren't always led by their brains. In this episode we were introduced to Thomas McCabe's elderly mother, and she is some piece of work, encouraging her own daughter to sleep with a man just to further their revenge plot. Keep watching to find out just how dastardly her plot will get because this old bird will stop at nothing to bring Lenny down.

It was goodbye to Jack the Lad this week, Fran the Kiss-A-Scam accused him of sexual harassment which led to him getting roughed up by Lenny and sacked by Hayley. Jack decided to say goodbye to Shieldinch and head to England to be with his son. He didn't leave without a final, and frankly, rather bizarre final goodbye to Gina. He got drunk with ex-lover Gina and her boyfriend Murray (whom she cheated on with Jack) and stayed the night in their flat. I don't think there are many men that would put up with that!! But was that a look of regret in Gina's eyes? I think that her heart really wanted to run off with Jack! Now that he's gone, does this mean Gina will leave the past behind and live happily ever after with Murray? Hmm, that would be kinda boring wouldn't it?!

Let us know what you thought of this week's show by commenting below. Next week we have the conclusion of Tatiana's miscarriage and some light relief in the form of Raymondo's wee pal Stevie! That's right, Stevie and his banter are back! I can't wait to see what he'll be getting up to!

Quote of the Week

Frances (referring to her mother's care home): "Nice room."

Agnes: "Yeah, where I've to stay most of the time so that I don't get trapped by some doddery old fart."
