Bumpy Landing

What a shock to find an actress as bad as 'Leyla' in River City! I love this show and is has a wonderful cast. But oh my goodness is that 'Leyla Brodie' the worst actress I have ever seen on british television.

Her voice is bland and mono-tone and her lack of facial expressions and connection to what she is saying is laughable.

Congratulations on Gabriel Brodie, however, who is a breath of fresh air to the show.

Thank you for Gabriel! Love the character, and the actor's no too hard on the eyes either....

Not too sure about the brother and his wife, well he seems alright but she's a bit wooden so far.

I guarantee that lelya will be gone within 6 months, now the producers can see how duff she is, she'll unexpectedly be called away or fall under a bus. Should have got Elaione C Smith in. Also when will Janette Krankie be cast as Bob's next new auntie?

I think the new family is great. They are all a breath of fresh air to River City. It's great to see and asian family mixed with a scottish one. The kids in the new family are great to see as it's been needing a few new younger characters. Lets hope this family stay and bring some good story lines as I like what I seen so far.

I'm a relatively new River City viewer, but I've really enjoyed the arrival of the new family. Think they're all great and hope they bring a few intersting story lines with them. Think everyone should give them a chance to settle in before making their minds up. I hope they're here to stay, it's good to see some diversity on River City.

Everyone deserves a chance.... stop moaning.

I would like to say how awful an actor Andy Clark is (Dr Michael Brodie). His acting is appalling and so is that of his on screen wife. I used to enjoy Rivercity but it really is far too painful to watch. The pair of them are as bad as each other and completely unbeleivable. Very bad casting to say the least

Definitely agree with dorisday1940. The actor playing Dr Brodie is totally dire. He has a range of two expressions, mouth open and mouth closed! He's also very unethical in what he did with Ruth and also his brother Leo. He {Leo} is another extremely bad actor, however, brother Gabriel is fantastic! Must be very difficult for other cast members to work with such wooden actors. River City is usually very good at getting rid of bad actors - they never have them hanging around too long - so here's hoping.

Love the show most of the time though. Would love Lenny Murdoch to return - he was such a baddie!

What is it about Doctors in River City ?????? first we had the woodentops - Marianne, Danile and friend Sami, and now Dr Wooden Brodie and his wooden wifey !!!!

The rest of the family are fine, love Gabriel and Leo, but come on, get the other 2 some more drama lessons, I have given them a fair chance,but enough is enough.
