I am thoroughly disappointed with the BBC in rescheduling regularly shown programmes. It wouldn't have been so bad if it had been for something mildly interesting but to confirm that we have a Tory Government in power to cause even more mayhem and poverty in Britain then I know which programme I would rather be watching. At least with the soaps their storylines are marginally interesting but with David Camerons storylines they are too far fetched to believe but unfortunately we cannot switch over to the other side!! Well not for another four years anyway.

BBC STOP SWITCHING OUR PROGRAMMES, LISTEN TO YOUR AUDIENCE!

I think this is totally unacceptable, watching cars go backwards and forwards, at the end of the day who cares, River City is REAL LIFE and far more interesting than this boring tosh, let's face it, whoever runs the country we will get ripped off !!!!!!!

On a lighter note I was fortunate enough to meet Jimmy on the train from Edinburgh to Glasgow last Wednesday, what a thoroughly nice man we chatted for a while and he posed for a photo, he made my trip to Scotland memorable Thanks Billy, you are a true Gentleman. xxxxx

What no River city because of that bunch getting in.River City is far more enjoyable than watching the torries getting into no 10.Cant believe that they have got in again. Why cancel our programme because of the torries getting in thats just not fair. Why should they get to spoil our viewing it is so unfair.Just hope we get to see it soon.

Thanks for all your comments. Thankfully the show went out last night, on Wednesday 12 May instead, so we really hope that you were not too disappointed.

Eloise - that's a lovely story, thanks for letting us know :) A fortunate meeting on the train!

Yeah Anna my husband told him what a huge fan I am, he waited at Queen St for us to get off the train, I did not ask about future plots nas that would not have been fair, and he gave nothing away, we talked about Tommy McCabe and how I wish he would come back, and about the tour (which I went on last year with one of my daughters and thoroughly enjoyed )he was just so lovely and I feel honoured to have met such a lovely caring man, he told us he had early filming the following day, every time he comes on the screen I have to smile.

I realise that the world news of a prime minister changing at 10 Downing Street is more important than soap operas. But, why oh why, when live coverage was shown on BBC SCOTLAND did the announcer report that Eastenders would be shown the next night at 7.30pm...but then failed to even mention or acknowledge the missed 'River City' episode. It was only by pure CHANCE that I discovered 'River City' was re-scheduled for the next night. This is shocking and shows a complete dis-regard to Scotland and Scottish programming. I would have expected far more from BBC Scotland. This is unacceptable.
