Big Hair

This "bIG Hair" episode was brilliant. I don't always watch River City ( too many old guys shouting at each other) but this was fab, the wig story was really funny and the new students were pure dead gorgeous! And the Amy Winehouse girl was great - and please keepthe wee dug! If this is how the show is shaping up, you've got a new fan.

Amazingly not the usual rubbish, might even watch it again, first time I've watched the whole way through and even laughed out loud. never understood why this programme was a laugh-free zone, it's set in Glasgow afterall. Whoever wrote this one nailed it, and yeah, keep the dug.

I have never laughed as much as i did watching jimmy and Scarlett with the interview ..and when Jimmy came out with the wig that almost finished me off fantastic humour and witty comments glad River city is starting to come back to life !

This was the best episode EVER! I stopped watching when R.C. seemed to think it was the McSoprano's, the storylines were unbelievable rubbish, but last night's was like a different programme - i was hooked from the off, great dialogue, soooo funny, when Deek & Bob & Nicky come into Jimmys kitchen and see him in the wig i nearly fell off the sofa. And all the new characters are great. My favoutite line was when the new girl (fab) threw salt all over Ambers dress and Innes (gorg or what?)said - she's not a fish supper! Look forward to more like this - please!

Normally this programme gets a good slagging but everyone at our work thought this episode was so good we should write and tell you. The writing and acting from the new characters was excellent and best of all it was funny, which considering it's set in Glasgow doesn't happen often enough.

The interview between Jimmy and Scarlet was top drama, and the regulars were sparkin on all cylinders. Could things be looking up in miserable old Sheildinch ?

Just watched Tuesdays episode on iplayer. It was brilliant and extremely funny regarding Jimmys wig and the interview with Scarlet. They should have their own show, The Jimmy and Scarlet show it would be a big hit. It was so funny about Liz when Jimmys wig was half on and half off and the comments she was comming out with,were really funny.Sorry to see Shirley leaving we will miss her thats for sure as she was a real good character and very funny especially when viv was her friend. Hope Shirley will come back in the future as it wouldnt be the same without her.Great to see Della again, shes not changed one bit.The big hair party was funny especially Bobs Leo Sayer wig he looked really funny as did Deek with his Tina Turner wig. Really hope that Bob and Nicky do become a couple, i think they would be really happy together as they both deserve some happiness.The script writing is brilliant and im sure folk will start watching again and give their comments on the River city blog. I see such a big difference as the story lines just keep getting better and better.I think that River city is the best soap on tv as its got everything in it and is enjoyable to watch and all the characters are just brilliant. Thankyou for such a great drama and for making my tuesday nights so enjoyable.Keep up the good work.

I seen the Nicki and Bob thing coming when he was so protective of her when they were sussing out stuart for her and then again when Nicki's friend turned up at the garage and bob's eyes nearly popped out his head, I nearly squeeled last tuesday! I hope this one develops, god knows both characters could do with the hapiness. I enjoyed last weeks episode alot but I do wish they'd stop writing out well loved characters - like shona and shirley - we seem to have a new character who takes priority every week, it's easier to identify with characters we've been watchin for six or seven years, not six or seven minutes.

Just wanted to say congratulations to Claire Knight (Iona) on the birth of her wee daughter. Watched Roisin on the hour and she said about Claire having a baby daughter so many congratulations to her and her husband.Looking forward to having her back in River city again after her maternity leave.

REALLY REALLY FUNNY. My pals said I should check this out and it was totally brilliant. I was like - an HOUR of soap, forget it, but this was outstanding, good stories, I'm already quoting some of the lines. First thing in a while that actually feels like it was set in Glasgow. Nice one!
