Festival Café runners Sophie Stephenson, Rebecca Davies, Maria Smith and Andrea MacKinnon have written this blog about their sixth day working on the show.

The second week started off with a glamorous flourish in the form of the spectacular acapella group , the Ruby Dolls. The girls screamed 'fabaliss' from their perfectly quaffed hair to their kitten heels, Meow? They had even drawn on their seams on to their legs with eye liner...how very authentic.

But not to be overshadowed, the eccentric and extremely down to earth Lillian Boutte strolled in with her band, and did a sound check which brought the New Orleans magic to the show.

Sheila Reid and Julian Glover's star quality was undeniable, with their quite confidence, but yet down to earth conversation. Their track records and achievements are extremely impressive and one can only be in awe of them.

Down to earth and a bit of a jokester, David Hayman stole the stage during the warm up for today's show. He shouted "What are you guys doing here? Don't you have homes to go to?!". But thank goodness they hadn't stayed at home because it was quite a show ending with the piece de resistance as Lillian's song left us bobbing and grooving in the wings.
