And finally, photographs of the White City vandal, the urban fox that trashed the offices of Crossing Continents and The Report, waiting in the RSPCA's special cage, to be taken away and released. Released 'nearby' I'm told. Does that sound wise to you? Given this fox's demonstrated resourcefulness shouldn't the creature have been taken to Exeter or Aberdeen?

Maybe not, but I thought it would do best in familiar surroundings and given there is plenty of food to scavenge (as well as numerous rats) it could be performing a useful function out there.
It seemed to have found the experience fairly frightening (to judge by the smell of our office) so perhaps it will prefer to stay outside from now on.
Must amend my CV... "indoor foxhunter" has a certain ring to it....

Such an action would be barbaric. Why shoot such a beautiful animal? The manner in which we, in Britain, persecute and kill our only native species of wild dog is obscene. Let it live out its life naturally, either in urban London or I would welcome it in my local area of rural Somerset.
