Turntable legend Grandmaster Flash is our latest Tweet In guest as he curates a unique playlist selected from the tracks you suggest live during the show (Sunday 17 August, 6-8pm).

The pioneer of scratch and cut and backspin mixing will be live on Twitter, chatting with you and sifting through suggestions sent in via #GrandmasterFlash6Music for the first 90 minutes of this unmissable Now Playing show.
Then from 7.30-8pm, Flash will then live mix some of his all-time favourite tracks to showcase his infamous turntable skills and end the show with a bang.
Watch this special video blog Flash has recorded for us to find out more:
Flash - real name Joseph Saddler - is one the pioneers of hip hop DJing and mixing, first starting out in the 1970s. In 2007 his group Grandmaster Flash and The Furious Five became the first hip hop/rap act to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in The States. Their track, ‘The Message’, is often hailed as one of the most important social commentary hip-hop records of all time.
His new album The Grandmaster Flash Collection (out 18 August) is a 4 CD and download compilation featuring some of the most seminal hip hop and rap artists from the last 35 years, such as N.W.A, Public Enemy and Eminem - all handpicked by Flash. It also includes special signature mix from Flash.
For Sunday's special playlist you could suggest tracks by:
- Peers such as The Sugarhill Gang, Run-DMC and Eric B & Rakim.
- Those who credit him as an influence from A Tribe Called Quest and Wu-Tang Clan to OutKast.
- Other turntable pioneers such as DJ Kool Herc, Beastie BoyMix Master Mike, DJ Shadow, Mr Scruff and DJ Yoda.
Or any other interesting selection you think will get Flash's personal seal of approval.
